Blackhawks rookie Connor Bedard adds another insane highlight to his reel, pulling off “The Michigan” to draw Chicago even with the Blues.

  1. 1:05 Any time you get a crowd reaction in a sport outside of wrestling, you know you did something crazy! That was awesome!

  2. Any nhl player could do this lets me honest. Its his hockey IQ thats allows him to do this, his ice awareness.

  3. I asked the same for Zegras goal, but on this one the blade of the stick comes really close to the goaler mask. If it touch is it high sticking. I found those play very spectaculare but I am always puzzle to see how close the blade is from the goaler's face.

  4. I've seen that Michigan goal a couple of different times now by a couple of different players. I think the most impressive was by Brett Hull against these same Black Hawks in the 95-96 playoffs. Beddard's was almost as impressive it just came in a game with not so much meaning.

  5. Yawn, these goals are getting boring now. They were fresh and fun to watch when Svechnikov and Aho were scoring them 4 or 5 years ago. Now I've seen multiple players do it, even an 8 year old on twitter in one of his games. It happens so often now that i can't believe people still make this big of a deal about them

  6. It looks easy, but I bet it isnt or more players would be doing this? Its only the 6th or so michigan TOTAL

  7. I looked up when the Michigan Goal was invented, and a few sites said 1996. But I remember seeing Dave Spehar score that way on person at the Minnesota State Highschool tournament in 1995.

  8. Look at his eyes as he’s going to receive the puck, he’s looking to see his next move before he gets the puck. Knowing the d coverage is weak on one side. He knows he’ll have lots of time (in his mind) to create himself a good scoring chance.

  9. not so impressive because it is HIM but what a beauty, he's going to be the first guy to get 200 pts in decades. big canucks/chicago/avs fan here!

  10. I think what’s most impressive is how incredibly fast he realizes what he’s about to try and to finish it all with style is just nuts, especially at his age

  11. A backhand Michigan. Crosby tried one a few years ago. But it wasn't nearly this smmmoooooothhhhh
