This is a brief description on how to generate snap on a disc. #discgolf #tutorial #howto #freesbiegolf

What’s up everyone this is Eve and today we’re talking about something that I want to teach you because a lot of people have been asking about it and it is snap snap on the disc let’s see what I’m talking About I’m going to try to get more like audio on that sound and so you can hear a little bit better but but we’ll do one more a little bit faster disc so we get a little bit more snap all right we’re not focusing on the flight

We’re just focusing on the release on the snap of the disc so first let’s address what snap is snap is the disc leaving our hand and the last point of contact this sound is snap that’s the last point of contact I just wanted to demonstrate first before there’s any controversy between like my

Wrist snapping my fingers snapping no uh I’ve heard that before yeah so the snap is the snap the disc snapping from our fingers okay all right but how do I create the snap snap is created by a strong firm grip on the disc I would suggest you having the front loaded grip

Which is mostly the weight on this finger and the bottom finger so this this is my natural grip but the most pressure is between this one and this one and the strong pressure on the thumb I am digging into the disc all right after we establish the

Grip I will take more close pictures and include them in the video one of the major parts is we cannot be stiff when throwing so if we are musling the disc we are never going to get the snap that we want because the snap is created by the chain traveling through your hips

Through your shoulder through your elbow wrist and then the disc and that all creates snap of the disc so I’ll give you an example this is I’m going to use different grip I’m going to use a pinch grip or split grip whatever you want to call it this kind of

Grip and I’m going to try to throw stiff like not smooth at all I’m going to try to muscle the disc let’s see if I get any snap out of this one I did not nor did I get any spin out of it that was highspeed driver and it

Went 300 ft okay so now let’s try to throw wh snap so we got our our grip our front loaded grip our thumb is digging in we’re going to be smooth and let’s try to throw this One oh I hope I’m not going to okay we’re not the difference is 200 ft 250 ft One Last Detail one Last Detail with the snap how to achieve it we don’t want to round at all if we round and we don’t bend our elbow into the proper

Positions we won’t achieve any snap because our wrist is going to be rotating with the arm I seen a lot of people try to reach back and reach back right here so if you use proper mechanics you will never be able to throw the disc properly

In the direction that you want so reach out instead of reaching back reach out put the disc in the power pocket swing through have a strong grip and be loose that’s all the tips for today I’ll see you next Time

  1. Snap has been something I've tried for the longest time not to achieve. I achieved it within the first few months of playing and my fingers would hurt so much I didn't want it. Maybe it's time to try again. Thanks for the advice.

  2. I have great snap but I’ve never been able to explain how to generate more! Thanks for making this vid so I can share it with my people!!
