He’s a genuine guy who is passionate about playing one of the worlds greatest golf courses. His quest is as likeable and relatable as Brandon himself.

I hit a good drive which was shocking because I played terrible that day but it somehow found found the Fairway second shot three wood 249 out goes in the crazy part we go and turn our scorecard in and we find out because we don’t have light scoring or anything but
We find out we were three shots back going into that last hole so with a walk-off Albatross we tied for the win of the tournament so we won the Kolkata we won like dude I thought I was going to be I thought I was going to be famous
Like I thought I was immediately going to be on ESPN I thought Scott F Pelt was going to be interviewing me like I thought for sure like this is one of the greatest shots of all time no one no one cares dude like no one so I made it a

Space it’s just like a lot of trial and error right so I kind of double down on the things that work and then the things that don’t work I kind of try to come up with new ideas so I’ve been sitting on this idea to just what are the chances a
Regular golfer could play Augusta like you you hear of people that have played it through maybe like a business connection or it might be like a third hand information you know I got a buddy who’s got a buddy whose dad worked for Coca-Cola and he got to go play August
Or something right but it’s never like oh yeah my buddy Jeff just got back from playing August like you just don’t hear of that happening so I started this series kind of just on a whim like just shooting on my cell phone just filming myself like looking at the camera just
Saying you know what are the chances a regular golfer like me could play Augusta the first video did really well like the first video I called Augusta National like just super naive I was like hey can I book a tea time like obvious obviously know that that’s not
How you play Augusta but uh it was funny for the video so then I just started talking to people like what are the chances or you know like how would you get on to Augusta so like prior to filming the whole series I basically knew that you had to get invited by a
Member you could get into the media and the media does a Monday draw I think after the Masters and like maybe like a charitable donation like sometimes they raffle off you can play Augusta for like Charities which is like big money but that’s like really the only way I’ve
Since found out that you can if you work at Augusta all of the staff get one play day a year they basically open up the entire facility and it’s like play as much as you want so staff can play but other than that like it’s it’s such a
Hard course to get on to right so I had it’s tough to to to make this series like a daily thing because I got I have a full-time job I have a wife and I have a family plus content creation so it’s like trying to plan this stuff so far in
Advance is tough so now it’s almost like every other day thing and where I live in Canada it’s the middle of winter like there’s snow on the ground outside like it’s freezing we’re in simulator season I’m in Calgary Canada so we’re just north of like Montana we look a lot like Colorado like
We got the Rocky Mountains and some crazy weather but the way the the Mike weird thing happened is I honest to God I was kind of just brainstorming I have a a business partner that we do he helps me with all my content we were just brainstorming and I had this like
Epiphany that I was going to play AA via Mike Weir like I just had this Epiphany I was going to walk up to the gate and on the other side of the gate is Mike Weir a fellow Canadian he’s like Brandon come with me let’s go play Augusta like
That was if I could write like a story book ending that was how I wanted this series to end so I have no connection to Mike weer I don’t really know anyone that has a connection to Mike weer so I found him on social media I was shooting
Him a couple me like I shot him a message on Instagram you know sometimes if you send a message it will say like sent or delivered yeah this message every time I sent him a message it wouldn’t say delivered and then I look at his message button like the email and
It’s to some like some sports management company and I’ve tal I’ve reached out to other sports management companies and they’re basically like [ __ ] off leave us alone like we want nothing to do with you so I knew that Mike Weir just got married to Michelle money so his wife
Michelle money is like a celebrity in The Bachelor world she was on The Bachelor TV show she had a pretty decent following so I saw that they recently got married and I thought what are the chances I could get in contact with Michelle because you know like I think
If someone contacted my wife let’s say you contacted my contacted my wife and she comes to me and says hey this guy Brandon had an albatross he has a podcast golf podcast would you go on his podcast right like it was easier or I thought it would be easier if it was
Coming from her smart dude yeah I love it so I saw so I saw Michelle’s email was was like Michelle Michel money.com so I was pretty confident that an email would go directly to her instead of some type of like management company so I wrote kind of just like this heartfelt
Email I I’m always trying to think if I could put myself in their position what would I need to hear in order to take action for this to you know if I just messaged her said hey hey Michelle I really really want to play Augusta any chance Mike can get me onto Augusta
Probably not gonna respond so I wrote kind of like a really heartfelt email that you know Mike Weir is like a superhero to most Canadians and he’s the reason why a lot of us pick up the club so I I was thanking her or asking her to
Thank Mike just for having golf in my life basically I told her that I’ve had this this video series take off recently it’s going viral a million people have gotten behind this play Augusta series I was like if there’s any chance to just get in contact with Mike I would be
Forever grateful to at least explore this opportunity shot in the dark whim send the next day I get an email from Michelle and she says uh she says Brandon this is awesome she says let’s let’s give she says no promises but let’s give the people what they want
That’s cool that’s so cool dude I mean what that’s really cool holy [ __ ] yeah cool by her and Mike I couldn’t believe it like and she’s she she’s got a way bigger following than Mike does on Instagram I think I don’t know she’s got like quarter million followers like
She’s she’s pretty big she’s got she’s got a lot of good good things going for her she just started a female golf clothing brand called for all uh you know my wife golfs and it’s tough for her to buy like appealing nice golf stuff for a young fashionable woman so I
Think there’s totally a market out there once you run out of you know Nike or Adidas Puma maybe Lululemon but it it’s it’s tough to go into a pro shop and see like some Smalls or extra Smalls even so Michelle has a really good thing going so so she’s invested in the golf
Community so I think that you know me kind of being part of their story they’re being them being part of my story was kind of a a win-win and then yeah that that video with Mike blew up it was crazy we had like a call plan for
A week and it was just so funny like to get like a raw clip if you remember when Michelle saying or I I made some comment about Mike’s beard yeah yeah right because that was my first real interaction with him like a little Icebreaker and Michelle goes AR aren’t
Isn’t the beard hot Mike kind of gives [ __ ] exactly another guy another guy’s beard like so to just get like that that cool raw moment was so cool we talked for probably 45 minutes and all these reels are only six or 90 seconds so I then have to condense 45 minutes of
Talking and video into what I think would be a cool video to kind of tell the story so that’s that’s where that video kind of came from I mean I think it’s kudos to her for actually like being open to it which is just that’s
Such a cool thing and then also I mean dude way to like way to just do it like way to try like what’s the Worst That Could Happen well anyway so where you at with the story so I think the best chances that I have of playing Augusta is to physically
Get to Augusta Georgia and start hanging around maybe some bars or just networking within the own local community from what I understand uh Augusta is not a very huge City you never you’ve never been to the Masters you haven’t been yet okay no no so yeah
So Mike obviously invited me to go to the MonDay practice round I’m fairly confident in the introductions that he will give me could potentially lead to something he’s basically like you know I I’ll lead you to water but I can’t make you drink more or less well that’s just
Super nice like that’s great that he’d even do that totally and not to be like really cocky but like I kind of thrive in scenarios like that like I’m professionally I’m in sales corporate sales I’m always networking I’m talking to people I try not to be an arrogant
[ __ ] like I try to ask questions and become relatable and just try to find some common ground with people it’s nice that the common interest we all have is golf because I can talk about golf forever right and I can kind of hold my own on the golf course so it’s not like
Someone’s talking to you know a 40 handicapp golfer that that can’t really play right so I think the best opportunity for me to play is to just get there start NE networking with people and then I think potentially something’s going to happen as far as someone like messaging me because
Augusta doesn’t like lights on them they don’t Augusta I know for a fact does not like this video series chances are if they’ve seen some of it they might have had a board meeting I I had another video where I was talking about the opportunities that I could pay to get on
There like 50 Grand to play Augusta so members aren’t supposed to do this the fact that I’m kind of you know lifting a curtain on this this super exclusive um Golf Course potentially I may never play just because I made this series right that’s what like a lot of people are
Saying in the comments like you’re [ __ ] you’re Blacklist exact right but it’s like prior to making this video series I didn’t have a chance of getting on to Augusta and the fact that some of these clips have gone viral might increase my chance a little bit but just like the the amount of
People that have messaged me they’re like oh my cousin works at Augusta I’ll I’ll see if he can help get you on or I’ve talked to a lot of guys at the neighboring golf course I don’t know if it’s Augusta Country Club I think there’s another private course in that
Area yeah we were yeah they have to like keep buying land from them and stuff I believe it is a gusta country so Brandon we just went we went to the practice round we went to the money practice round uh shepher and I did oh by the way
The reason we we’re all named animals my I go by Ali by the way because it’s our head covers like we we’re trying to get this daffany head covers to sponsor us one day like that’s our ultimate goal we have a question that I’d love to get
Your opinion on do you think now I know you haven’t been there but do you think you could hide out at Augusta like get go to the practice Round And as everyone’s kind of making their way out you just kind of slip into the bushes somewhere and you just sort of spend the
Night there all night could you spend the night at Augusta without getting caught anywhere in Augusta I I I’ve thought about scenarios similar to this and I think what worries me I think the repercussions are just so great that it would ruin all chances in what you know all the years to come

So afterwards this guy comes up to me so tiger comes and hits yeah I’m actually a long-term member here and I’m like you I’m like oh dude this is great I’m going to be a like he seem like a really nice guy he’s like yeah I saw I saw you a
Minute ago with your shirt like don’t don’t do that again man don’t do that like he was like don’t they find someone we read we heard that they find someone $220,000 for stealing a cup of sand it’s like some dude went to the bunker scooped out some sand they they find him
20 grand and he went to jail to your point he went to jail a US jail a US jail yeah us jail um I’m almost wondering if you could tie it into like some sort of like you know like there’s got to be some causes and stuff that
They’re passionate about you know other than Green Jackets and stuff like I wonder if there’s like a charity or something that and and I’m not saying donate it to but I’m saying like it would maybe be exposure to that you know to that charity or something I don’t I
Don’t know I’m just trying to think of some ways for you honestly you’re in could be because they’re big about hosting the women’s Augusta National now have Mike’s wife somehow tie into to be an apparel sponsor for that get you in there that could be an Avenue here you go I think
There’s potential to get a media pass like media is so vague now with social media so for example like I’m going I’m actually coming your guys way I’m going to the PGA show yeah I was gonna ask if you’re going to it we’re we’re gonna be there yeah okay sweet yeah we should
Link up yeah I’m bringing bringing a bunch of buddies down there and we’re we rented a house we’re going to golf and and just network with some people down there oh nice yeah but like you know a year ago I wouldn’t have considered myself media really like I’m not a news
Outlet but you know we have enough Channel views uh even like on our YouTube channel like I do work with like title Les Taylor Made A lot of the big OEM manufacturers on my YouTube channel so I think there’s an opportunity maybe to get a media badge the thing is like
With uh Masters it’s not connected to the PGA to right right so like I reached out and I was just so naive I I wasn’t even thinking of the fact that they they weren’t connected so I reached out to the PGA their media Personnel they said like we have no association like you
Have to contact Augusta right so I look up I’m trying to find like Augusta media credentials and I’m like creepy people on LinkedIn to try to find who is in like or something and it’s it’s been more of a wild goose chase than I thought it would be but uh you know if
We can get a media pass and then get into the the media draw you know luck may be on our side and that would be kind of a cool part of the journey oh awesome this other thing that you do the most expensive bag I love that too he
Put together a golf bag what was it 492k 492k what well you’ve probably spent that this year in like all dude this guy he buys a new set it’s crazy like how often but he’s got like what 40 some Putters I’m a swing a guy I spend all my
Money on swing eights what what made you think of that what a great idea that is even like it’s just I love it that same thing that’s just oh funny story I’ll tell you exactly exactly what made me think of that so I got hired
This is a year ago a year ago last Black Friday I got hired by GF toown GF toown is is like the biggest golf uh Outlet in Canada they’re like a like a Dick Sporting Goods or PJ Superstore kind of thing so they hired me to help promote
Their Black Friday sale so they had me come down I did a couple I had three or four different video ideas I wanted to film I fil filmed all three of them I sent them to golf town for approval and then the one that they like they ended
Up sponsoring and posting they paid me for but I had these other ones that that they didn’t want me to post that I thought were a lot better than this one so so the video that I did was I took one of their sales associates and I
Walked around the store and I built the most expensive bag that GF Town offered so I I start with like a G4 staff bag so here’s like a whatever $1,200 G4 staff bag then we go get the nicest I think they’re like Ping Glide wedges and then
A Titleist tsr3 driver and the Ricky Fowler Cobra irons like it it was just building and building and building anyway I I submitted it to GF town and they said uh so the end of the video I get to the counter I check out everything I go to pay and then my credit
[Laughter] card’s so GF Town didn’t like this they’re like we don’t want we don’t want you know the the perception of golf is that it’s expensive and we don’t want to highlight expensive stuff so they shut it down wow so I I let it pass for like
Six months and then I posted the video hoping that they would forget about it and that video went viral I knew it would go viral and I heard from him right away he’s like take that video down take down we’re never we’re gonna like just like hit me
With like the with a hammer right so I’m like [ __ ] so I have to delete it off my page meanwhile it already picked up [ __ ] zy shared it PGA memes shared it every big golf page shared it so now this video is out there in the internet
That I didn’t get any of the initial um you know I guess like the following or the the clicks from my page is all from other Pages needless to say Golf Town won’t work with me anymore because I posted that video and I shouldn’t have that was a lesson learned in itself but
I think as a content creator you’re so hungry for viral videos clicks likes follows like it’s it’s like a dopamine hit right it’s like it’s it’s it’s sorry I didn’t mean to cut you off but I you know I I totally know what you mean man like it is it is exactly that
And it’s so tricky because what you think like you it sounds like you know what you’re doing because I mean you you knew that that one was going to be go viral but like the things that kind of get like they’ll pick up on a trend or like you know that’ll they’ll get
Followers or even likes is just to me it’s completely random like it doesn’t seem like there’s any Rhyme or Reason it’s just so crazy like what you think won’t pop off like sometimes does and then vice versa so anyway man that’s that’s a funny story it’s funny you say
That like i’ I’ve I’ve put 10 hours into making one video that I’m like oh my God this is what’s gonna [ __ ] Set Me Free this is gonna be my you know my my ticket and then it sucks it does like 200 views and then I post a stupid video
With my buddies we’re all half cut we hardly any edits and then that does like a million views I’m just like what is going on with this algorithm but anyway to get to the most expensive clubs that’s where I got the idea from is that
I I did a real life most expensive clubs then I just go on Google and I’m like Googling what are the most expensive drivers ever the most expensive irons bags of course one went viral and then I did another one like six months ago and
That was the one that was like yeah 300 or 400 grand for for a bag that’s amazing dude um that’s wild pretty wild how old how old is that baby of yours that in some of your videos she is almost a year a year next month almost
To the day she’s Jan 15th yeah our little girl man life Chang you guys have kids do I’ve got a three and a those two a four and a five actually a four and a 5-year-old now they they also grow fast dude it happens really quickly but I I
Had a daughter she was our first and there’s just nothing nothing better than it man and he’s getting ready to have one and has a has a son I’m a little boy and then um little girl on the way y so I was going to the reason I asked is
Because dude golf for me like it’s I don’t know if it’s changed for you but uh and I know you you guys have the the change of seasons and stuff um but man it is slowed it slowed my golf game down for sure I definitely played less but I like
My wife understands that this is like my life this is what I’m passionate about I’m trying to do I play a ton like I play amateur events I’m like I carry like a plus two cap so like I play a lot but it definitely was less like if if a
Normal season I play like 115 120 rounds last year was like 80 so like a significant drop but I’m not complaining about playing 80 rounds in our little six-month golf season but I had no idea how much freedom I had prior to true now that’s yes no totally um well all right
