Today I’m going to give you a little tip on how you can hit those 50 to 60 yard shots a little easier and this is just one way to hit this shot there are definitely other ways but I find this to be a little easier for most people and
The contact seems to be more consistent so a lot of people when they’re hitting these 60 70 yard shots they’re setting up they’re using a lot of wrist hinge and they’re really attacking down at the golf ball seeing them take these really big divots and you see a lot of people
Thinning it or catching it fat instead of approaching it that way what we can do is we can focus on using a smaller amount of wrist hinge right so when I’m taking the club back I’m not snatching it up early I’m keeping those wrists fairly neutral and just turning my upper
Body there’s likely to be a little bit of wrist hinge on the way but if you can go into the shot with the mindset of having less hinge then you should have some more consistent contact so using less hinge which means we’re going to feel our upper body turn more we’re
Going to feel more of a turn with my shoulders I’m really feeling them rotate on the back swing I’m not using my arms to get the club back there I’m really feeling my shoulders rotate

I have found that it is far easier to use a lower lofted wedge like a 52 instead of a 58-60 just because it is easier to control the ball flight and spin rates when you aren’t trying to hit a full 60
