It looks like it could be back on because this morning we had a r by the European Court uh of Justice uh that basically said long story short in fact I’ll go through what they said because I don’t want to sort of paraphrase it and

Get it wrong um there was there was this ruling this morning now I had it in my news about the fact that you know the the the sort of the powers that be the the clubs that were interested in having a Super League taking it to court and

This morning we had this decision so basically giving the green light to another League opening up not just a UA League or a FIFA league but some other sort of league so goe this morning Ben Jacobs was one of the first to break it says the European Court just this rule

That UEFA acted against competition law by blocking the formation of the European Super League in 202010 uh the FIFA and UFA rules on prior approval of interclub football competitions such as the Super League are contrary to EU law European Court Justice say there is no framework for

The FIFA and UEFA rules ensuring that they are transparent objective blah blah blah ruling out to that the organization of interclub football competitions and the explotion exploitation of the media rights are quite evidently economics activities they must therefore comply with the competition rules and respect the freedoms of movement blahy blahy

Blah blah lot lot of big words but essentially you can make a super league if you can make a super league if you want and it’s up to clubs what they do whe they’re going to join it so you look at that you think oh crack here you here

Going to join but what is interesting to me Jay is reading figures that clubs may get if they join the super league and there are clubs like Barcelona and Real Madrid who would be more enticed to these what what rumors are like billion pound offers to create a brand new

League outside of football yeah and it’s okay for United to say no now what happens if that league in in a way becomes like like the Champions League like where players want to play in it yeah where where the pressure mounts not just on money that you’ll get offered

But also the way that players see it I want to play in the Super League do you know what I mean by that and and time will tell if United are going to stay by the word or will they be slowly enticed into what is quite at the minute a

Lucrative offer of this Super League I don’t know no I think you make a great point because we saw it with the golf didn’t we where there was a a new golf league set up like rival to the PJ I think was in Saudi Arabia set one up and

You had loads of people saying we’re not going to do it and then eventually the money came in more players started joining it and it became hard to ignore so you could get a situation like that Bayern Munich on the on that club that you mentioned they said we have taken

Note of the Judgment of the European court of justice however this this does not change the attitude of FC Bayern and the attitude of the ECA that such a competition is an attack on the importance of the national leagues as well would represent the the Statics of European football basically they they’re

Not have any but we this is a thing things can change clubs can change also as well United could issue the statement I’m not saying this is the case but United could issue the statement and Sim Ratliff could come in and he might go well I think we should join it yeah and

Clubs it will be interesting I don’t think the German teams as such because of the way they are structured in terms of who owns them but it would be interesting if if the Super League targets the not the bigger the sort of Europa League style clubs your uh your
