What is going on everyone my name is Andy welcome back to another FPL video and this one it’s my team selection for gameweek 18 so I’m going to show you how the team is shaping up thoughts on transfers especially with newly flagged Anthony Gordon what I’m going to do with

My defense and I’ll also quickly run you through how I did in gameweek 17 so if you enjoyed the video make sure to give it a like hit that subscribe button if you haven’t done so already let’s jump into it so let’s start with a quick look

At gameweek 17 the game week that just won’t end at the time of recording FPL still haven’t made a decision on the points from the Bournemouth versus luten game I’m still assuming they’re waiting for communication from the Premier League but time is running out with the next deadline tomorrow FPL are going to

Have to decide because I don’t think they have the technical capability to leave gameweek 17 open and start gameweek 18 so hopefully we’ll find out later today or tomorrow in terms of how my game week went I got 69 points I did take a fourpoint hit so it’s 65 total as

It stands and I took out Harland and Cameron Archer for Watkins and sanki now the reason I did that or part of the reason was because Gordon was yellow flagged and was a little bit of a doubt to start the game but to be fair on the

Deadline stream I said that I thought Gordon was more likely to start than to be benched or be out of the squad completely so I think I’ve gotten away with that hit I probably didn’t need to take it but either way the team is pretty well set up for the next couple

Of game weeks I’ve made a bit of money off that as well so obviously happy that I got lucky with it but I probably shouldn’t have taken that I probably should have just played Gordon um in terms of overall rank I’m currently at just inside the top

180k but obviously Auto subs and stuff like that haven’t happened so I think I’m probably going to be closer to 200k either way it’s another Green Arrow and things are going a little bit too well I would say um since gameweek 8 when I was 1.5 million I’ve gone up to about 200k

In gameweek 17 and I’ve had green arrows every single week apart from gameweek 14 and 15 and they were very small red arrows so I’m waiting for the downturn right when I get a few Reds in a row and they’re big ones but right now the green

Arrows are plentiful and I’m hoping to get even more I think the next couple of game weeks are going to be really interesting because injuries are mounting up suspensions obviously players going to African Cup and Nations Asia cup some of us have got to work out

How to get Harlem back in if we’re selling Salah how do we get Salah back later on and I think the I think it’s a I think it’s a good time for fbl because there’s some hard decisions that have to be made and there’s plenty of points to

Kind of get in the meantime so it doesn’t mean I’m going to keep getting green arrows but I hope that’s what happens but I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a few Reds uh around the corner in terms of the players that did well for me um obviously I’ve got salanki

Who’s currently on six points that may go to nine if he’s given the bonus the points might get wiped completely I just don’t know what FPL are going to do but either way I’ve got Gordon first bench and my total score is not going to change massively Watkins got one goal

And uh sorry three bonus as well so he finished on nine Cole Palmer excellent against Sheffield United 14p pointer I think the most the best thing from the week was probably the Full House of clean sheets because there’ve been a lot of talk recently about clean sheets being the myth don’t worry about

Defenders and goalkeepers and stuff like that and all four of my goalkeeper and Defenders came in with a clean sheet so de Brava seven parro eight celba seven all three of those players got I don’t I don’t think Deka got a bar us I think he

Got a save point I’m just going to double check uh yes a save point but CRA and parro got bonus and Gabrielle finished on six as well so the only players that blanked for me was Salah Captain but a lot of people Captain him this week son who got a two-pointer

Darwin with one he was terrible against Man United and then sacka with three points just quickly on sacka a lot of people think that he should have had an assist I think it was for the first goal that JayZ scored I believe I’m just going to double check that yeah I think

Jayu scored the first goal um I said on Sunday on the stream that I hadn’t seen it hadn’t seen that clip to say whether I think it should be an assist or not and look I own sacka I’d love those three extra points but for me that is

Just not an assist when I saw it yesterday I was expecting something a bit more controversial but I think that’s a pretty standard non- assist for FPL I know people are kind of throwing replies saying but what about this assist what about raenia from a season

Or two ago but I just don’t think this is necessarily exactly the same and I also don’t think Rafia should have got that assist either now the reason if you care that I would at least this is my understanding for why it wouldn’t be an assist Saka plays the corner in and then

A Defender heads it s kind of in and around the near post and there’s other Arsenal Defender uh sorry other Arsenal players there so those Arsenal players would have counted from an FPL point of view as the intended target the defender heads it kind of further away from where

The ball started and then it gets scored kind of towards the back post so jayus wouldn’t have counted as the intended target and that is why I don’t think it should have been given based on fpl’s rules I’m not saying that the rules shouldn’t change in fact more assists

Would be better I think uh but how it stands right now that shouldn’t be an assist I think the reason that rafino was slightly different and why they may have given it is because when the ball comes in and the goalkeeper kind of pushes it away slightly there’s two

Leads players kind of close to the ball and the goalkeeper there isn’t it’s not what it’s not like there’s players by The Keeper he punches it to someone else further away those two players are already the closest players to where the ball was touched I think that’s why

Rafen was given and sackers wasn’t but either way I’m not convinced that Rafia should have got that anyway and sacka definitely shouldn’t have got that one so three points it was a blank but he’s done super super well that doesn’t sound great does it he’s done really well for

Us this season um so I’m happy to continue holding on to him so yeah decent week we’ll find out what what’s going to happen with the points over today or tomorrow and then we can move on to game week 18 so let’s talk about that so I’ve got one free transfer this

Week after taken four point hits in each of the last two game weeks do I need another hit this week possibly but hopefully not and I’ll talk about that later I’ve also got 4.4 million in the bank because I have sold Harland so plenty of money to spend I would say

That my goalkeepers and Defenders look a little bit dodgy this week but potentially not too bad depending on what news we get in press conferences specifically from Aston Villa so in goal I’ve got de braer against luten away I was always going to play him over arola

Anyway who’s got Man United at home which is not necessarily a really bad fixture but I do think man united will score in that game the West Ham defense hasn’t been great so the BR is no issue for me at the moment obviously in a few game weeks time the transfer window will

Open in January maybe Newcastle sign a new goalkeeper but until that happens there’s just no need to worry about making a goalkeeper transfer arola didn’t start the last game there were some pictures of him on the bench with kind of strapping round his wrist still so it might be that it hasn’t fully

Healed and that he could have been used if absolutely needed but they preferred to play fabianski so I think there’s some breathing room for those of us on this combination we played de brka this week we play him next week against Forest at home and then hopefully by

Then ARA’s got his place back and we can use that as a bit of rotation so that’s my plan there Pedro parro Everton at home that’s someone easy to play he’s going to play most weeks for me with Matty cash he did start the last game got subbed off around the 65th minute

I’m not convinced he’s going to start against Sheffield United at home and unless we find out that pal Torres is injured and he’s going to be out of that game I’m going to assume that cash doesn’t start now pal Torres did go off with a knock we don’t know how bad it is

We should hear from unai Emy tomorrow so if he says that pal Torres is out then I would assume that one of Luca Dean or Moreno is going to play left back then it’s going to be Carlos and kza center backs which leaves room for cash to play

Right back now if that happens then I will just play Cash against Sheffield United at home and then deal with him next week but ultimately he is a long-term issue for me right he’s not going to he’s not someone that I can rely on starting without injuries and

Stuff like that so I will play him if pal Torres is out if he’s not out I’m probably going to sell him but I’m not 100% sure who too the three players I’ve kind of narrowed it down to AR conza so keep you know less money in my defense

Basically have it in the bank ready to get Harlem back um good fixture this week Burnie at home in a couple of game we time as well or I could spend that money on on trippo or Trent now Tripp is not having the best time for Newcastle

At the moment didn’t play they came off the bench last night he was okay but he made a mistake for the goal he missed his penalty as well and Newcastle are getting some players back from injury but they’re also losing others as well so I think I do prefer Trent over

Trippier at the moment and that is a route that I could go I don’t think that Arsenal at home is a great fixture for Trent but I don’t think that playing CRA against Liverpool way is any better so that’s kind of my plan with cash wait to

See what happens with pow Torres if he’s injured I’ll just play Cash and not make a Defender transfer um if pal Tores is going to play then I’ll sell cash for cono or Trent which I know is like a big difference but I think I can get away

With spending the money on Trent um over over conza and then the third spot in defense I’ve got Gabrielle I just think he’s got a little bit more goal threat than Cela there’s not much in it I think both of those players will start if I

Wanted to go Ultra safe that I would play celba because he’s a 100% nailed but I just don’t see Gabrielle missing a game like Liverpool away so I’ve got him ahead and then I could play Charlie Taylor and I think Taylor’s got the better fixture F him away you know

Rather than Liverpool away but Burley are also a much worse defense than Arsenal so as it stands I’m going to play the Arsenal player instead so de bra kingal Pedro par in defense their absolute certainty so is Gabrielle I think I just don’t see I mean I don’t

Think I need to take a hit to not play one of these Arsenal Defenders and the other thing is just quickly there’s no need to make a transfer for any of these players I can’t get rid of Gabrielle or CBA because after Liverpool they got good fixtures and they’re really good

Prices and I got them quite cheap as well um Pedro par obviously I don’t want to sell and I could get rid of Charlie tayor and keep cash but then cash is still an issue I have to deal with later on so I think that’s why I’m ultimately

Going to have to play an Arsenal Defender because I don’t want to get rid of them so yeah cash to conzo or Trent everyone else in defense and goalkeepers probably staying for now so for four of my Midfield is it’s pretty much the same story as it has been for the last few

Game weeks and that is that I just don’t need to use a transfer on any of them so that’s Salah son sacka and Palmer while they’re fit and available they’re going to remain in the team we know that Salah and son are going to African Cup of Nations and Asia cup respectively in

January in gameweek 21 so I have to deal with them then but until that point I don’t want to worry about which midfielder I might bring in because you just don’t know at that point what the lay of the land will look like who’s injured who’s suspended and stuff like

That I mean the rough plan for Salah as I’ve spoken about before is to sell him in gameweek 20 to get Harlem back for Sheffield United at home but we don’t even know if harland’s going to be fit apparently he’s going to play no part in

The club World Cup would he be fit for gameweek 19 we don’t know if not will he be fit for 20 we just don’t know at this point so I don’t want to spend too much time worrying about it but that is the rough plan uh with sacka not a great

Fixture this week Liverpool way but I think when players do start going away in January he will become one of the most popular midfielders I got him quite cheap as well I think paid 8.5 and he’s up to 9 million now so no need to get

Rid of him whatsoever and Palmer as we know is one yellow card away from suspension he’s got to get through two more games and then that threshold goes up to 10 so again not worth using the transfer on he has played a lot of minutes recently and he played the full

Game last night as well I think in some ways that’s a good thing right it shows how important he is to pochettino’s plans but it also means he might need a rest and the um the T sorry The time between games for Chelsea is isn’t great now they’ve got another game on Sunday

On the 24th Palace is on the 27th that’s gameweek 19 and then Luton is on the 30th of December so Palmer may just miss one of the next two games it is what it is right lots of players are going to be in that boat where they don’t play 90

Minutes for the next three matches so just not worried about him the big talking point is Anthony Gordon he played again last night because ultimately Newcastle just don’t have enough players to manage the minutes of someone like Gordon but he did go off with an injury which anyhow described as

A pretty nasty knock um now it might just be like it’s an impact thing and he couldn’t continue and he’ll be fine in a few days time but it’s no guarantee on that and we’re probably not going to get any more information ahead of the deadline because they don’t play till

Saturday so the press conferences will be on Friday but the deadline is on Thursday now I’ve got Darwin nunz on the bench and I don’t think he’s great this week for Arsenal at home but if he’s benched in the carabal Cup tonight against West Ham he will start so I

Don’t really need to panic too much about Gordon and there are lots of midfielders I like and I’ll talk about them in a second but I could just play him against Luton and if he’s not fit Darwin would come off the bench the only risk there is if Gordon’s bench and

He comes on for a one-point Cameo so it might be that I actually just bench Gordon and play Darwin instead but as it stands I don’t think I’m going to transfer Gordon out of my team because I’m hoping he’s back for Forest at home it’s a tricky one without the

Information and even if there was a press conference Eddie how probably wouldn’t tell us um he did say I think I saw him say that Gordon wanted to continue but he couldn’t so I don’t know if he wanted to continue is it that bad but the fact he couldn’t means yes maybe

It is so I think right now I might just play Darwin instead if I do transfer Gordon out there’s a few options Jared Bowen is probably right up there he went up in price again last night he’s now 7.8 million I don’t know if it feels great bringing him in before Man United

At home and Arsenal away but man united at home probably isn’t the worst fixture right now and after that it’s Brighton at home sheffeld United away and Bournemouth at home so he is someone that I could just put in and then just leave I don’t have to worry about him

Another player that I like is Rich Charon I spoke about him yesterday I think he has to start the next few games I just don’t think they’ve got enough players to kind of rotate in Everton at home Brighton away Bournemouth at home next three are pretty good then some

Will go away to Asia cup and then rardon will probably get penalties and his minutes will continue to be good and his goal threat when he’s played has been pretty decent I know he’s one of those players like Darwin J that when he blanks he’s super frustrating more so

Than other players but I think for his price and the fixtures they’ve got he is also another good option and they are probably the main two I don’t think I would bring Sterling in right now even though I think he’s a good option I just don’t like the yellow card situation

Hang is on four yellow cards still I think he is anyway he hasn’t yeah he’s still on four yellow cards he’s also going to go to the Asia cup so I don’t want to bring him in so it’s really boing or Rich Charon for me I can’t bring in foden because he’s blanking

This week so that wouldn’t make sense the is just too much of a risk for minutes I can’t get an Arsenal midfielder because they’ve already got a triple up the only other player I guess is someone like Fernandez just taking like a massive punt that he will improve

And so will man united but that feels a bit risky and there are some reports going around that he might have a small injury I don’t know if that’s concrete I’ve not really seen it from anyone I would massively trust but that kind of rumor is going around so yeah it’s a

Tricky one if if Darwin plays tonight in the carabal cup that means he might be benched against Arsenal in which case I would just get rid of Gordon prob because there’s not really any great replacements for Darwin so I would have to sell Gordon probably for

Bowen or richardis but it all depends on what happens in the match tonight and if right I know there’s lots of ifs and what ifs and stuff like that if Darwin gets benched and I don’t think cash is going to start I might take a hit and

That could be cash to Trent I’m just going to check the money here before I say what other move I can do uh let me just put Trent in so cash to Trent would leave me not. n in the bank so then I wouldn’t be able to afford Boeing I

Would have to go with charison so if I think that cash isn’t going to play and nether is Darwin or Gordon then I will probably do a hit of cash to Trent and uh Gordon to richardon how do we end up in this position FPL changes so quickly

Sometimes so that’s the Midfield four of them great Gordon potentially an issue but right now I’m thinking about holding him but maybe benching him for Darwin instead and then up front it’s nice and easy I’ve got Watkins against Sheffield United at home and salanki against Forest away I don’t need to overthink

This they’re both going to start for me in game week 18 obviously Forest have sacked Steve Cooper so there might be a bit of new manager bounce there for Forest but not enough where I’m going to worry about playing sanki a great option um Watkins currently has my armband or

The captain’s armband and I think that probably will stick because of the fixture I think that sheffi United have shown slight signs of improvement under Chris Wilder but not enough where I’d be worried about Captain in Watkins I just think Villa are so strong at home they will cause Sheffield United loads of

Problems the only other player that I would even consider this week is son against Everton at home and I know how good Everton have been this year both in terms of attack and defense but I think son at home is not a banker or anything like that he’s just a really great

Option obviously he’s on penalties we know he’s going to play the minutes are going to be good we saw what he did against new in the last home game as well so there is a slight temptation to move it but I think I’m going to go with

Watkins with the best fixture on paper I’ve not got any interest in captain in Salah he’s never a bad option we know what he can do but he’s playing what I would consider the best defense in the league at the moment in Arsenal so even though it’s at anfield I just don’t

Think I would Captain him so I’m going to stick with Watkins I already spoke about Darwin who’s my third forward I could play him instead of Gordon the reason that I wouldn’t look at a transfer is the only forward that I think I could even bring in this week

That I would remotely want is Callum Wilson because eak wasn’t in the squad again last night for the carabel cup but I think it’s just too short term so I think if I sell Darwin it will be for a man city forward and it’ll either be

Harand if he’s back and I’ll sell Salah and if harland’s not back I may even bring Alvarez in and I know for anyone that’s owned him recently they’re probably laughing like why would you bring him in but I don’t have that kind of annoyance from owning him recently if

Harland’s out he’s going to play number nine he’s probably going to be on penalties as well and Everton away sheff United at home is not a bad couple of fixtures and if Gordon is still an issue I can just play 343 but instead of having Darwin there I would sell him to

Alvarez I think with Darwin I’m just kind of taking it week by week because if he doesn’t play against Arsenal he’d probably play against Bernie in gameweek 19 in which case I just hold on to him and then delay that decision about a man man city forward until gameweek 20 so

That’s the rough plans cash potentially to Conor or Trent Gordon potentially to Bowen or richardis and I might start Darwin and when I do sell him it will probably be to a man city midfielder and I’m almost certainly going to stick with Watkins Captain so there are a few
