Lead going into the fourth quarter uh just didn’t manage enough offense had four points in the fourth quarter and end up losing by 10 Addison Pitts led the Phillies with 13 points tonight Carly Buckley had six Maggie Grimes had six Lenley Wright had five Lily Wells
Had six and Miley Wright with two on the other side michaan Marshall was the star for abery she had 18 Brianna uh shorter a freshman had nine points Riley White senior with seven points so tough one for the Phillies they Dro drop a district contest now one and two in District
23A and like I said we moved quickly we’re 5 minutes away from getting into this boys matchup this is a district opener for the boys always a week behind the ladies and they start District play tonight against the abery anales they finished their early non-conference or non-district
Slate 13 and0 they’re the number six team in the state according to TABC and the Zia Power Sports spotlight player of the game is one of the big reason why uh senior Cooper Lusk one of the leading scores he and Hayden Buckley have been quite to Duo for these
Mustangs the last several years and Coupe and his senior campaign uh not disappointing at 31 points Friday night against LC high in a blowout Victory there for the Mustangs of the Horseshoe and uh C just does a little bit of everything and a Savvy
Player as a as a coach’s kid you see the effort uh you see the defense The Hustle but just really smart for General he could be a point guard um you know if if he was you know played at a bigger or higher level of of basketball but playing 3A

So far um they come in 5 and N but they did make it to the championship of the PLS tournament lost to the Cowboys in the championship of that tournament there in Plains but a younger group here for for aberna again 5 and nine on the year and they’ve got
Three freshman that get significant time cam Marshall and Daren Duvall leading the way and scoring with Junior Noah rler so some young guys Eliah Flores elas fores another freshman on this Team the Mustangs on the other side of the spectrum really they come in the number six team in the state 13-0 on the year and they’ve got a wealth of experience for Coach Jay Lusk and his team five seniors in Canon Reed Hayden Buckley bod Bennett John Cervantes and

On the cameras Angel Flores on the floor and Tristan pal up top uh bringing you this game tonight here from aathy appreciate you uh tuning in or sticking with us at least to the the Sylvia Insurance Group halftime show the Mustangs with a 35-5 lead they ended the
First half on a 25 to5 run at one point this game was tied 10 AP piece got a couple of tough buckets from Noah rler and three from Daren Duvall in the aathy side they were tied at 10 but the the Mustangs doing what they do applying
Pressure and going on run they can score points in a hurry they went on a a couple of runs there uh went on a 10 run to make it 20-10 or 130 run excuse me they made it 23-10 um before finishing out on a 12-2 run there in the end of the second
Quarter so impressive performance for the Mustangs the number six team in the state they’re 13 and0 right now their first district contest tonight uh they scored 17 the first had 18 the second and they held uh ay to 10 in the first and five in the second quarter Mustang
