Beat reporter Wilson Alexander and columnist Scott Rabalais join sports editor Perryn Keys to discuss several hot topics — including Kim Mulkey’s ejection, Jayden Daniels’ sweet goodbye and plenty of comings and goings with LSU football.

Brought to you by Champion Wealth Strategies.

Wilson and Scott discuss Daniels’ decision to skip the ReliaQuest Bowl and prepare for the NFL draft, as well as what that means for Garrett Nussmeier and the Tigers’ ability to get a sneak peek at 2024.

The guys also discuss the transfer portal, through which LSU added a wide receiver and a safety last week but lost Sage Ryan and missed on quarterback AJ Swann. Rabalais also sizes up LSU’s recruiting class, which stands at No. 12, and Wilson gives insight on undecided February stars and potential breakout freshmen.

Finally, Scott chimes in on Mulkey’s second-half ejection from the Tigers’ runaway win over Northwestern State on Sunday.

  1. Everybody needs to quit worrying about Nuss. He’s next in line !!!
I understand Ricky is suppose to be a good QB but Garrett been prepping for this time when it’s his turn. They can’t deny him that !!!
    I don’t see that happening
And there absolutely should not be any talk about Jayden making the decision to start getting ready for the NFL. He’s given LSU a plenty. And he stands to loose greatly if he comes in and gets hurt. And no one should be criticizing him for not playing. That move could cost the young man millions.

  2. LSU is not getting high rated 4 stars and have not developed the 3 and 4 star defensive players. They also have not helped their 5 stars. They actually hurt them by putting them in the wrong scheme.
LSU will not beat Bama or Georgia with the coaches and recruiting on defense.
