Mayor Robert Garcia reviews all four stages towards economic recovery. While the City of Long Beach is currently in stage 1, it will re-open lower risk businesses starting May 8th, 2020. This includes florists, clothing, music and bookstores by curbside pick up only. The list also includes car dealership showrooms. Limited outdoor recreation will include nature trails and public and private golf courses. Starting May 11th, parking lots adjacent to parks will re-open. Residents may walk through parks, use tennis centers and beach bike and walk paths. It is still requested to wear facial coverings and practice social distancing in public.
