whoever edited this video really had a lot of fun with the memes lol
I have played the CSX LS ball A TON this year….i will say that the "its a rock" comment from Peter, at least for ME is not true. It never felt super firm or hard when hit. It felt identical to the —– PRO1Vx LD and I currently have the LD in my bag since a callaway rep said the CSX LS was going away in 2024….
I found PROV1 and PROV1X to be like rocks off my clubs. the CSX LS & PV1X LD feel the softest for me (i know i know it doesnt make sense).
This is the content we subscribe to Peter for, overall golf content not just match after match, round after round.
I game srixon z star fantastic ball👍⛳
I've been using the Wilson staff model ball all of this year and I'm not surprised it was in your top 2 Pete. It's genuinely surprising that Wilson offer such a good ball (and the Triad) for a price lower than the other brands
Good stuff, very surprised with the Wilson Staff but not surprised you ended with the TaylorMade.
I am not in the market for the top premium balls (don’t have the game or the budget) but I have got to love the TaylorMade Tour Response, especially the Stripe. It seems to give me the best feel, distance and spin over all the balls I’ve used and I love the visuals, especially lining up putts. I did use the pix for a while but the Tour Response seems softer and more responsive to me.
When I eventually run out of my TP5 balls I'll strongly consider trying out either the z-stars or wilson staff models 🙂 thank you for the video pete!
I get whatever premium ball I find on the used/ebay market. ProV is always best for money there, but the TP5 isn't far behind.
Would have been such a twist if you said Maxfli as overall winner:)
Thank you Pete ,for not automatically choosing the Pro V1 like so many people and channels. It's getting a bit boring..Because( To use your own words ):"other manufacturers are available" 😊. Greeting from a Vice Pro guy!
I keep gravitating to the Bridgestone BXS and TM TP5, myself.
Been in ProV1X the past few years. Have yet to find a ball that launches higher while spinning as much. Been trying the Chrome Soft X since I like the Triple Track 360.
Great to see Wilson doing so well and well done Pete for giving them a chance
Out of ego I plged PRO V1 and PRO V1X, both great balls. Due to cost as well as performance, I am sticking with my Kirklands
I was using the TP5 golf ball but my drives really seemed to go no where in distance. Found a Callaway Chrome soft and played a few holes with it and literally picked up 25 yards. Bought a box of the Chromesoft x LS and picked up 45 yards in total on my drive. I spin the ball too much on my drive but the LS seems to completely negate it.
More stupid, static cut effects – enough with that garbage please.
Great video! Great editing too.
In the UK where it rains more in the winter I find personally that a firmer ball with the additional carry works wonders. Of late I have used Titleist AVX. Let's face it on the soft greens anything is going to stop, but I have found the AVX does the job, it feels ok, it flies ok although when it's windy it does get a bit balloony. In the Summer I play TP5 because it gives me exceptional control. Soft like butter off the irons and it loses nothing to anything else off the driver. Funny enough I hit the standard TP5 longer than the TP5x, just weird but nonetheless true. Some surprises in your test I thought. Not tried The Tiger Bridgestone but expect I will find one and then will give it a go.
Just switched to the TP5 as my first harder golf ball. This makes me very happy to see it in number 1 😅
Handicap of 11.8 and I play either the Kirkland signature or Callaway hex soft. Can get 2 dozen of either of them for 30 odd quid and I find them good for distance as well as short game . Would be interested to know Pete's opinion on them
Top-quality editing in this video – hats off to the back-room team. Very interesting – nothing for Titleist really does show how things are changing. Would have been nice to know some average prices, though – would have saved me a Google search!
Nice! Great review, Pete!
I normally play the TP5Pix and I LOVE the feel of this ball! The Pro V1 is my second choice, and honestly I prefer the ERC Soft Triple Track whenever I play a 9-hole course.
Wilson Staff is a belter of a ball, ticks all the boxes, 3 dozen for the price of 2 dozen at some golf retailers, incredible value.
I play TP5 and I like it. Good to know data. Great Review! Thanks…
Would love to see an other test for the less premium balls but only if you play them for a year 😅 anyways there is no reason for testing them as there's no better ball than the ad333 for the money. If there is please comment! No distance and ultrasoft balls pls…
I love the TP5s I find in the woods. Their flight off the tee and back into the trees is mesmerizing.
I like using the pix
Got those Wilson on offer earlier this year – 3dz/£75. Can’t argue with £2.08 per ball in this category.
Editing on fleek in this vid 🤘
Great video as usual Pete, love the Vice balls, played everything on this list besides Wilson and PXG. When price gets factored in I can't get away from Vice, and I really don't want to. Whatever slight difference there is isn't worth a ~50% markup to get into Taylormade or Titleist. If money isn't a factor I think this video shows you should just get fit for a golf ball, but with how close these golf balls are nowadays if price is a factor at all Vice is definitely where it's at.
Hi Pete can you do review on the British made cavell golf ball I've not seen a review yet
This is the exact opposite to what My Golf Spy found in their test. They had the Tp5 at the bottom of so many categories. There is no way it can be as bad as they portrayed as its probably the second or third most used ball on tour. Ive always like the TP5. I am currently, and to my surprise playing Chrome Soft X, soon to be renamed Chrome Tour X.
I feel like I’m about to fight a final boss in a video game
That new Staff ball is unbelievable value, it's as good as any ball at half the cost.
Played the Wilson Staff ball all 2023 season and loved it! Great ball at a fantastic price point
Been playing a few different balls out of Vice’s lineup for a few seasons now. The pro plus made the final cut though, love the ball and the different colors/designs they can come in. And for the price, sold sold sold
I play the wilson and it's an awesome ball I'm really happy it got down to the final 2 it deserves more recognition 👏
Wilson golf club or golf balls are not easy the get your hands on in Eastern Canada ( Quebec province & Montreal for one ) . Their logistic seems basically horrible. I like the Triad ball for instance you have to order them on line otherwise forget it is next to impossible to buy some.
FYI, Tiger hasn't used the Tour BXS since he came back from the crash. He's been using the Tour BX all year, same as Jason Day.
New TP5 series coming out very soon. Are you going to test like for like?
Great vid, maybe a bit too gimmicky for my taste. I'd love to see you test the balls a rung below the premium offerings (e.g. Wilson Triad, Bridgestone E12, Titleist Tour Speed, TaylorMade Tour Response)
No Titleist Pro V1 Left dash for distance category?
Was pulling for the Wilson Staff! I used to play the Wilson true ball which I loved!
TP5 amazing ball so good choice.
I do the love how Wilson seems to be putting out relevant golf balls and clubs again and should continue to push others in the market.
Great content Peter and crew!
Love this video congrats to TP5 and as a Wilson guy shout out to the Wilson for making it that far😂 Great job Pete and your team.
Been playing Bridgestone for years.
2023 version of the Srixon Z-Star Diamond is absolutely next level. It's like the Bridgestone Tour B X/B XS and Pro V1/V1x had a baby and made a freak of a product. Does everything you want it to do with each club.
