THE USGA AND THE RNA ARE IRRELEVANT. The free market will decide how this rule shakes out, and i will tell you FOR A FACT. I will NEVER play a rolled back golf ball. If one company is going to only make rolled back balls, then I will switch to another company. PERIOD. I will only play top of the line golf balls. PERIOD.
I can curve an 8 iron. Come see me Johnson and I'll give you a lesson.
Pro problems being put on the recreational golfer, and just tell them to get better and deal with it because the pros are hitting it too far? Great take….. Like someone else said, imagine a pro that can't move the ball with an 8 iron? Where did you guys dig this guy up from?
Ok thanks. Coming from the guy from the 70’s disco era 😂
Thanks for making old recreational players and the LPGA hit it shorter 👍
And… Ive trained for years to get to 300 drives. Now – 5%. Ok 285. Thanks for” NuttiN !”
Gotta hear that like the Irish girl from caddy shack 😂
Recs don’t want the ball to curve more LOL and if you can’t hook an 8 iron bro don’t try because for a good golfer it’s not that hard to still hit hook shots
Remember when in the 80s the R&A placed a limit on ballspeed? It was actually at 169mph.
Thats the real way to limit this….Not randomly taking 5 yards off…
Stupid waste of money and ways to generate hype.
They can’t ruin golf fast enough
Thanks for having smart guests on to balance out Brandel
Horse shit
This golf ball rollback is an arrogant absurd decision for most golfers! Recreational golfers who play for fun or maybe for a couple of bucks don't want to hit the ball shorter on that rare occasion they hit the sweet spot. Leave the ball alone for them. Let them have their weekend fun. Now, if you want to restrict the pros' distance to "save" the golf courses they play on, that's understandable. There is a huge difference between pros and most amateurs distance-wise, 50-70 yards with the driver. Just make a restricted ball for the male pros, if you want to. It will hurt the shorter hitters more, placing even a greater advantage on the long hitters, but the driver/wedge game many pros play is a little boring. Hurt the male pros, if you want to, leave us amateurs, women, and juniors alone! Golf is hard enough for us. Why make it harder? The USGA and the R&A are using very bad judgment here and will hurt the game of Golf! This will be a very unpopular decision. The PGA of America, the teaching pros, disagree with this stupid decision. Then you have a jerk like Rory McIlroy, who hits driver 350 yards, coming on TV and telling us who hit it 250, that this is no big deal, and "what's all of the anger about?". 99% of golfers want to hit the ball further, not shorter, dummy. I, for one, will not be buying the shorter ball!
LOLing at someone who’s spent a lifetime perfecting the game, with generations in golf establishment, thinking more curve is better.
If the ball curved as much as it did in the 90s, golf would have seen 1/8th the pickup in play it did post-covid.
Make the tour driver CT limit different for PGA & call it a day.
I’m not sure some of the things Wagner is talking about will happen in this roll back. Like the ball curving more. But maybe. In fact pagel from the usga said it will be hard to do that with modern drivers.
Decided against bifurcation??? You're telling me the tour don't play different equipment than we do…with driver and woods tour version this and tour version that, they never let us get near the pros specs and special made gear just for them.
just make the hole smaller!!!!!
Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy can muster all of their infinite powers with PGA influence but they are NO match against the institution that was built in stone on Feb. 14, 1945 between US President Franklin Roosevelt and King Saud of Saudi Arabia on board the USS Quincy. Game Over … hard luck boys !!!
Kindly Stop beating dead horse… thx
You are “protecting the game” from what exactly? From great athletes? Longest doesn’t win! They still have to hit irons, chip, and putt. And enough about the courses. Grow the rough and don’t have fairways that are so manicured that the ball rolls for miles.
