I know it’s a cliche, but seriously, how much money is enough for these guys? Rahm has made about $70M in his career so far, but “everyone has a number”? $70M not a big enough number to keep supporting the PGA Tour?
I got no respect for any of the Liv players. They all couldnt care less what happens to the history of the game or the PGA tour. They all can piss off for good as far as im concerned
The END is near for the PGA Tour it’s just a matter of time. Circle of the Sport and what goes around comes around. More will likely follow. Let’s be reminded that GOLF greats like Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Arnold Palmer, Lee Trevino and their other mates who way back then played tournaments under the PGA of America (founded in 1916) in 1960 began the process of breaking away and in 1975 the organization they created achieved full independence from the PGA of America and was named the "PGA Tour." The coming of LIV Golf is no different … In reality PGA tour is a SUNSET tour. Changing of the Guards !!
How about we all shut up until we hear it from rahm himself
In all fairness, $600 million isn’t a lot when trying to survive Bidenomics.
££££$$$$ LIV growing stronger by the day.
He was bought by the Saudis good rittens
It's Jon's choice. Many or most of his fans will not be pleased, however.
Brilliant reporting getting possibly the next guy to go for comment. JDay had quite a grin 👍
bumble chumblee's head might explode 🙂
I'm surprised they didn't bring up the Ryder Cup implications for Rahm with Rose. Maybe Jon thinks there is a sure path back to the team, I'm surprised he'd let that go.
If this happens Saudi Arabia will successfully snatch the game of golf from the USA and allies. Very sad for the history of the game !
Another traitor
PGA tour loves losing
Rahm will open the flood gates now for more of the best players to go
Rahm: "I know in February of 2022 I said I'd give my fealty to the PGA, but the crown prince added a zero to the offer and I also know I said I don't do this for money, but here we are."
I just love how Americans think they have a right to hegemony over golf. Golf was not invented by America and existed long before the PGA tour existed. Plus when your tour is exclusive to one country and essentially ignores golf fans around the rest of the world, why should any of us care.
Everyone is a sellout these days. All about the Benjimens. LIV is not a good viewing experience.
Maybe now Rory will have a chance a winning 😮
Jason Day is the man, I'm rooting for him to get another major in 24!
Without the consistency in player branding, if you make the switch to LiV, your brand just dies. It’s proven, Cam was the hot player, now he gets casual mention (if at all) as a favourite in majors. Other than BK, no other LiV player that was heavily branded during their time on the PGAT, gets mentioned as a favourite to win a major and that’s ok.
Why hasn't LIV reached out to Day about joining Ripper!
It wasn't a secret, now was it?
"Everyone has a number."
If he goes it will just be another golfer that I care nothing about. Haven't watch a single second of LIV and planning to keep it that way.
I have 10:50 tee time tomorrow, Dec 8, in Cleveland, Ohio.
Pga tour is slowly but surely becoming weaker and weaker…scottie v rory and the rest are next level down!!
Simple math: LIv continues to grow as the Tour continues to shrink.
