  1. I will try it next time I get to a range. Feeling like I bow the wrist is a go to feel when I'm hitting heavy on the course. Let you know how I get on with this when I can try it. Thanks Mark!

  2. Most amateurs only cock the wrists UP. This creates a hugely cupped left wrist, and a very open face. And from there….they only have 2 choices. Stall the body to flip the face closed, or come over the top to close it(just as you pointed out). Players need to think about cocking the right wrist BACK, instead of UP. This will automatically flatten, or even bow the left wrist for you, without even thinking about it. This was an eye opener for me years ago. Hopefully this helps someone out there. P.S. A great way to feel this correctly is to swing the club right handed only. You’ll feel how the club sits on a better plane at the top, with your right hand “holding a tray”, and the butt of the club pointing more at the ball/target line.

  3. I watched Tony Finau last week at The HWC, and he was doing a waggle that showed him slightly bowing his wrist in preparation for his swing. I thought it interesting at the time, because he was not excessively bowed at the top (like DJ is), but it makes sense now after I’ve watched this video. He’s rehearsing the same move you’re presetting. Brilliant Mark 👍🏻

  4. I used to have a cupped wrist at the top of my backswing. I imagined having to throw a punch over my trail shoulder to force a flat wrist which solved the issue quickly.

I'm not a fan of a bowed wrist, I don't think it's a powerful or natural feeling position at the top of the backswing. I think some bowing will happen naturally at impact if the hands are ahead of the ball and the forearms hasn't rolled over.

  5. I find starting with the weight slightly favouring my trail foot but it enables me to shift my weight to my lead side better😊. Enjoyed your video again!!!

  6. Hi Mark – just seen your video on the Srixon ZX5 mk2 , is this as good as or better than Mizuno 225 or upcoming 245 ??
