The 4 pressure shifts of the modern power player: https://rotaryswing.com/c4/112537-the-4-pressure-shifts-of-the-modern-golfer

A lot of golfers think there are two pressure or weight shifts in the swing – one in the backswing and one in the downswing.

That’s a bit of an oversimplification and if you’re feeling just one shift back and one shift down you’re likely sliding instead of rotating in the downswing and costing yourself a ton of power.

A look at the modern long drive player reveals there are actually 4 pressure shifts in a powerful and dynamic swing and in this video I show you how to feel power like you’ve never felt before:

  1. When I was a kid I used to come off the ground completely. I started at 11 and won my first tournament at 13- shot 71 from the men's tees. 9th grade- 100 lbs and 5'1" and could hit it 220 with an old Bryon Nelson 2 wood. Unfortunately, I listened to pros and tried to "stabilize." Although I competed in the World Junior at Torrey Pines (shot 75 on the No course) and won the World Collegiate at St. Andrews, and had some success that magic disappeared. If you look carefully at Rory you will see that hop. The club seems to gain a life of it's own down there at the bottom. It is also present in many other players of note.

  2. I read in a tip in some golf mag a while ago about "pushing" the hip "backwards" instead of "upwards" (posting up?) with the lead foot and leg creating the rotation and doing it while the lead side "lat muscle" is still "stretched" from the shoulder turn…

  3. Just interested I can see what you’re saying but was just looking at some Cameron Champ slo mo driver swings with this 4 pressure shift displayed beautifully. What has he done wrong to blow his back out?

  4. Thank you for the video. I appreciate the info. I think everyone is using the data to try to get longer and better and I would bet that Brian Gay is longer now than he was back then. I’d definitely bet that he’d beat Kyle (who seems a great guy) on any golf course any day of the week.
