Efren is a legend and there is no question about it. He taught the guy a good lesson. But I also appreciate Soufi at the end, he diffused the situatiin and ultimately bowed to the master, and seriously though, there is no shame in it. ❤

I think Efren messes with his opponent so that they don’t feel defeated. I do this when I hustle for money. I make the other opponents think that they’re winning then BAMM. They don’t see it coming.

Muslim arabs almost always argue in micro. I was once in a paintball match and this guy from a group of arab looking (most likely algerian) started to talk to me claiming that the barrel (i paid for) was his. It didn’t end up well for him. Just plainly ignored him and he just gave up.

I'm not a pool player on any level, but I would say – never concede. Stuff happens. Easy shots can run afoul, and you can steal the win. I guess if it is a friendly game but even still, all the more reason to not concede so you have that to hold over your friend's head!
