He went down in my estimation as a true champion, gave up in the two heavy defeats to to the greatest player of all time O'Sullivan at the Crucible. 17-4 & 17-6..Ronnie also leads Hendry 9-4 in finals..Ronnie will always be the greatest player of all time!

As a player…honestly, you’re talking about not only the greatest snooker player of all time but athletes of all time in any sport. I don’t see any drop-off at all. At age 47+ World No 1. Hendry retired early because he wasn't good anymore! He went 14 years without winning a tournaments till he retired (1999-2012)Hendry crumbled against top class opposition.If you name was Jimmy White you had every chance of beating him.He literally won 4 of his 7 world titles against Jimmy,then Ebdon & Nigel Bond! WOW Wow Wow World class oppostion NOT! Ronnie beat Hendry in his prime as a 17 year old in the 1992 UKC final..He beat Hendry in 5 finals in the 90s,and leads him 9-4 overall in finals! You don't know snooker or you'd know when the class of 92 turned 22YO in 1998,Hendry couldn't win after that,and washed up by 30…That's the definition of an overrated player!
