  1. Thanks. Angle control was my biggest problem with both fingers flat on the rim. I'll incorporate this into my fieldwork tonight.

  2. Forehand upshot with sideways fingers gives you the most angle control tho. But yeah not for distance!

  3. I only float out my middle finger if I'm throwing around a tree or bush. If it's for distance then tuck my middle finger in tight.

  4. Hey what’s up, the forehand weirdo here 😁 any who, in your opinion, is having just one finger (the pointer finger) only on the rim acceptable in anyway? I’ve been teaching myself all grips, and to me that grip is the best for angle city trip and distance. What do you think?

  5. Of all the videos I've watched on forehands, this may be the one that allows me to throw a forehand.

  6. I throw with double finger and it looks more like the one you say is no good, I have good angle control and enough power. It’s like Stokely saying you can’t tuck the elbow in on your throw but almost all pros tuck in various degrees.

  7. I’ve always had issues with the rim cutting into my middle finger knuckle when I tuck the disc all the way back in the web of my hand.

  8. I'll pretty much always trust that a man in a big straw hat knows how to throw a disc. That is one of the few universal truths in life.

  9. Fan grip for flat high release( if that bush is in the way). Stacked grip or both fingers on rim to get power. I am more of a fan to grip both fingers on the inside of the rim. Stacked grip is usually loosey goosey in the hand and can be hard to control, especially in the wind.

  10. So why is that two finger grip no good? I see pros use that grip and say its fine, I have been using that grip with my forehands although I rarely use them so I have no room to say it works because my forehands are pretty terrible lol, maybe Im misunderstanding?

  11. The grip you said is not acceptable is exactly how I throw 400ft forehands as a 40yr old average guy

  12. You’re actually just wrong about the 2 fingers stacked flat on the plate. You get plenty of power. I have thrown 400ft sidearms with that grip.

  13. I think I saw a video with wysocki or eagle showing they throw stuff arm the exact way he said is worst

  14. I've found that curling my pointer really helped clean up my release. Now my forehand is buttery smooth and bombing 400+. Before I was stacking and struggling with ~300-350 ft forehands at the most because it was releasing so ugly and losing energy to off axis torque

  15. Thanks for the video, I have an ultimate flick burned into my bones, and I struggle to flick with a driver… I do need to buy a new disc, and knowing to push from the rim gives the power is really helpful.

  16. Throwing forehand in disc golf is just inconceivable to me. Ive tried for years and have thrown maybe 5 good shots. Ive given up, if james conrad doesnt need one than neither do I lol

  17. “Unacceptable, no power”
Bro, I’m throwing 400 foot dimes with that grip. Stay in your own lane😂
