  1. AJ, I am currently playing the 923 Tours. How would you compare the Takomos regarding sound, feel and forgiveness to the Miz?

  2. I'm absolutely sure the 201s would be best for me right now. But I don't care. I'm getting the 301CBs because they are too gorgeous and I'll grow into 'em.

  3. I am thinking about ordering a set of these but not sure how to choose the right stock shafts. Is there a general guideline based on swingspeed or other metric that would help with that?

  4. Got the 301 blended set and that cavity back isn't really a cavity, more cosmetic than anything. It didn't seem any more forgiving than the MB

  5. Im.between the 201 n 101t. What's the best way to go about picking the right kbs shaft for me through takomo. I currently have reg flex 95 gram fujikura graphite in my irons. Bur not sure if I should or ready to go to a stiff shaft. I'd like to. Just nit sure how to know when i.need to. What's you'd suggestion. Im.hitting all my current irons about 20 yards farther than when I first git them 5 years ago.

  6. I’m playing the 101 for two months now hcp 16,3, work really good for my slow swing speed😉
    Greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰

  7. I play the 201 irons. Bought the heads only based on one of your prior videos. They're built with Project X LZ 6.0 soft stepped. Really enjoying them. I switch between these and PXG Gen 3 P. I get a little bit more spin and better stopping power on 7 to 5 iron with these but also loose a little distance. Fair and expected tradeoff. There's 1 degree of loft difference between the sets. I see no difference 8 through PW. Very different feeling though. The 201's encourage better ball striking. I need a little bit of distance help (7 iron goes 150 yards) and the 201's give me that with a club that's a bit different than the mainstream. I've demoed the P770. Seeing that it's comparative to the 101t and that the 201 goes the same distance as the 101t tells me that I'm good with the 201. No need for iron envy; just play golf.

  8. Tossing up between the 101T and the 201's. I swing back and forth on the two. I would love the feel of a forged head, but don't like the idea of them getting dinged up. I also love the looks of the 101T. I'm also tossing up what shaft type I'd need. There are just so many variables with everything…

  9. My 201s arrive Friday. Can't wait! Based on this video I think I made the right choice for my game.

  10. Been playing the 201 with KBS C-Taper lite 115 X for two years and absolutely love them. The only problem is they only have 4-PW. Would have loved a 201 3 iron also.

  11. Do NOT buy Takomo! Worst customer service I have ever dealt with! They shipped me the wrong irons and refuse to allow me to return! It is a $698 mistake!! Don't do it!

  12. The 201's were 2 more degrees stronger than what they are now when they first came out. Probably helps with forgiveness

  13. Follow up question for you on your review. As I mentioned in my prior comment, I play Takomo 201 with Project X LZ 6.0 soft stepped and PXG Gen3 0311 P with Elevate Tour Stiff. I swap back and forth and think that I prefer the cavity back for feel and trajectory control. Wondering if you find the hollow body irons harder to fly low when desired. Also wonder if you find the hollow body irons to be more forgiving than comparable cavity back. 101T and 201 seem to perform the same for you.

I also had a club building question. My 201's weigh around 8 grams more than the 0311's. Both are a D2 swing weight. I think this comes down to the different shaft weights but wondering if the 201's can be built lighter with these same shafts or if I need to go down to Project X LZ 5.5 to lower the total weight. I find that the heavier shafts improve my impact position but I can get a bit tired by the end of the round. I'd like a similar feel in the swing with a slightly lighter overall package.

  14. This is great as im looking at the takomo range at the moment as i want to move on from my jpx825s which ive had for a long time now. Playing of 10 im moving towards the 201s rather than 301s

  15. I went to a PING fitting day recently and got fit into the i525 irons with the Project X IO shafts in stiff. Would you recommend the 101T over the 201 for me? Previously played off +3 but that was 6 years ago, I'm older now and wouldn't say no to extra distance and lower spin 🤔

  16. I agree about the very very shallow cavity on the 301 CB irons. It's barely a cavity at all. But somehow MyGolfSpy rated them as the second most forgiving players irons for a 2023 release, and third overall for 2023.
