After passing up this deer multiple times last season, Matt Miller is rewarded in a HUGE way on a picture-perfect early November deer hunt. Having seen this buck the night before, Matt decided to sit in a pinch-point between two doe bedding areas, hoping to catch him on his feet. Shortly after first light, this tall-tined buck came slipping through and presented the perfect 25-yard shot. Experienced deer hunters know things don’t always go as planned in the deer woods, but when it does, it sure feels good!

  1. Hey Justin: I’m sure it was just a slip of the tongue, but a deer always knows what they smell. They don’t always know what they saw or heard. Thanks for all your work!

  2. Man…great buck! Great letting that guy grow another year too!

So where on the east coast is Matt from? Has a somewhat upstate NYish type of accent. Just curious.

  6. I know people that do well hunting 100 yards from the road or parking spot all the time

  7. When doing the post hunt interview with the deer, how do you keep the head staying up while you’re talking?
