The TRUTH About My ONE of ONE Copper TAKOMO Irons!

  1. James, how is the wear on the copper plating? I love the look of a blacked out iron, but they wear and look so old very quickly. Doesn't look too bad with the copper plating so far…might have seen Chris with a blacked out set in the bag?

  2. This seems to be controversial but I think that bright copper finish looks cheap. I had years ago some bronze taylormade clubs. Darker finish and beautiful this brighter finish, for me, not right. For me as well guessing on a fit is awkward. May be right. May be wrong. .

  3. Beryllium Copper irons were great 20 years ago. Ping & Prima. Problem was the metal was very toxic to manufacture.

  4. I always notice the "cheeky" comments from the bots with the butt cheeks as profile photo. James Robinson groupies. Hahahaha

  5. Beautiful clubs … I’ve got the copper 2020 cobra forged tec and they have very minimal wear and tear on them … most of the marks have came from the clubs dinking together not from turf interaction … although I have sorted the clubs dinking , I bought iron head covers (please don’t ridicule me) 😂😂😂

  6. Absolutely love the look of those irons! Cannot wait until they are available. I need them in my bag! BUZZIN’

  7. I play the Cobra Forgec Tec Copper finish, with black shafts….. It´s the most lovely combination of colors!

These ones might very well be my next contenders

  8. Look great but those lofts aren't for me. I need a 7 iron to be closer to 30 degrees. I'm playing the 201's with 32 degree 7 and that's the limit with my swing speed. Not sure copper in the 201's would be my thing. Would like to see Takomo put something out like the 301 CB with power spec lofts. Get a better looking top line too. On the positive though, the 201's are improving my game by helping get better at ball striking.

  9. I really like the look of these. In the hands of a high handicap golfer they may not be practical, but as a high handicap golfer, I would game these.

  10. Will that copper finish stay without any discoloration? I had cobra forged tec copper irons, they got gray streaks on the bottom of the club after the copper finish rubbed away from use over 2 years of use! Copper finish was not very durable.

  11. I'm dying to try the 301 MB's. I haven't been able to justify another set of irons, but those are what I want. Unfortunately they don't offer heads only and I play a graphite shaft.

  12. I wonder if it's more than just a finish, I gave them a zuno 223s because they have the copper underlay to help it feel softer. Part of me is hoping that it's not just a finish, but also a little bit of addition of something similar.Copper is great I am still trying to find a set of eye 2s in Copper just to look at!
