It seems like the rules were modified for penalty shots in this game, as you can see. I guess you could say that Lias Andersson was the player who took the shot.

  1. I like it. Players at the blue line should not be able to start until the puck is touched though. Hockey needs to try more interesting rules/punishments. For instance, for icing, there would be no face off, but the team that iced the puck has to all skate back around their own net before they can re-engage in the play.

  2. There's a men's hockey league playing out of our local arena that does penalties this way.

  3. This is how penalty shots should be done during a regular game. Shootout is another story but imagine calling a penalty shot and then have the player with the puck start from center ice (or further up really) and the remaining 9 players invading from behind like at least one zone back with the possibility that unless there's a goal or the goalie freezes the puck, the play could continue. I would encourage this change in the rules.

  4. Hey, I was wondering if I could use this clip in a video short? Your channel name would be credited on screen!

  5. It's how the do penalties and penalties in rec hockey in Europe, except no one starts skating until the player touches the puck but in this case it seems like they all went at once. The first one I took I had no idea I was being chased and after I scored my teammates were like, man, next time skate faster they almost caught you! And I was like who did? 🙂
