  1. All of the above and more.

Basically everything Rory said would happen did not and everything he’s said would not happen did happen.
That’s when you know it’s time to go.

For me he is thinking about his brand. The die hard pga tour argument is dying and Livs increasing popularity means Rory is losing more fans than he is gaining with this anti LIv crusade and this haves and have not in the pga tour.

And definitely his downright mean words about Cantlay can’t make it comfortable.

It really goes on and on with Rorys reasonings.

Regardless this should be good for him and everyone else. I wish him the best inside the ropes like anyone else.

  2. I think the reason is because he really disagrees with everything that LIV stands for. It's ok, now he will have more time for his family and focus on winning more mayors.

  3. Reason 6, he does like the PIF deal, but it's not going to happen so he is washing his hands of it all.

  4. Golf is bigger than Rory the deal needs to be done for the good of the game he's throwing away his bat and going home no great loss😮😮

  5. Why not listen to him and accept what he has to say? I agree, all 5 of those reasons played a part but he says it’s to concentrate on his golf and family.. He should have done that ages ago.

  6. How can you justify Rory winning the RTD yet he rarely featured in DP World Tournaments. Its a joke to be honest. The pga tour getting the majority of the points yet you put the pga and dp tour guys on neutral ground and the dp tour guys play just as well.

  7. Main reason, on top of headaches from being a player representative, most likely is TGL. TGL will take up more time than the Board I imagine but will provide additional income. Not a bad swap from his point of view. Simples.

  8. So you don’t know the real reason, honestly mate stop this “scoop” nonsense there is no information

  9. I agree I think Rory needs to step back from the table and reevaluate on everything and I do think he has the talent and willpower number one mindset to win a major

  10. The reality of the whole merger is there are much bigger fish than Rory involved.
The world of sponsorship and branding dictates everything nowadays and there is no doubt that certain individuals in prominent positions will have become slippery, regardless of what they ‘allegedly’ told Rory.
These people don’t do anything that has potential brand toxicity and will always abandon the hardliners.

    Family first Rory.

  11. Sounds like the same reason that some people joined LIV. More time with their families. But Rory hates LIV doesn't he??
