The reason JMU can't play in a bowl… They have to prove they can afford to sustain all the things (compliance dept., etc.) WITHOUT the money coming from bowl games. The whole point of this trial period is to prove they belong. To let them have the money from bowls proves they can afford it WHEN they make a bowl, but the whole point is to prove they can when they don't make a bowl. These are the rules they signed up for when they decided to make the jump.
Used to love this show but the amount of ridiculous assertions on here are getting out of hand. Saying due process is only for victims? Wrong. Due process is for everyone, whether you like it or agree with it. Saying Minter and Moore should be suspended because they "100%" knew… how do you know that? But wait Zach, is that evidence of the coordinators aware of what Connor was doing? Isn't stealing signs completely legal unless you in person scout? How can it be proven that because he's giving the coordinators signs that he was illegally getting those signs. Actually the B1G's Sportsmanship Clause states the Commissioner's punishment is final and shall not be appealed. Michigan and Harbaugh just had to be given a reasonable amount of time to respond to the allegations. The amount of time is set by the Commissioner himself. The Commissioner notified Michigan and Harbaugh on a Friday and then on the following Monday the Commissioner set a 48 hour time period as the reasonable amount of time to respond. Michigan and Harbaugh have been given their Due Process by the B1G because the B1G Commissioner followed the B1G bylaws, Michigan agreed to, perfectly. He has a law degree from Harvard and an army of top notch attorneys advising him through the process. The Sportsmanship Clause is a separate part from the one that states they must wait until after the NCAA's Investigation and can only be applied when a program or player has violated the integrity of the game, which Michigan clearly did.
