PGA Tour suspends TWO TOUR PLAYERS with immediate affect for BETTING!! The two PGA tour players have been suspended for betting on the PGA tour and this will happen immediately.

There has been rumours of betting on other golf tours in the past including the pga tour, liv golf tour, dp world tour and in some of the golf majors including the masters, the open, the us open. Betting in sport is something that has become more popular but players are never seeming to get away with it, and rightly so, but are some of the punishments for these too harsh? Find out everything you need to know in todays breaking news video.

  1. It wasn't even a sanctioned PGA Tour event! How can 1 player impact the outcome of any event? Overreach in my opinion! Does this also impact if the go to Las Vegas and bet there?

  2. The rules stated they were not allowed to bet on the PGA tour and they broke the rules. The 2 of them are complete and utter morons and deserve the bans!

  3. Them's the rules they signed up to. They are harsh rules, but I think even the best lawyer would struggle to get the punishment overturned.

  4. I trying to understand what is hard for some people to understand…this is just like the guys who singed with LIV…they knew what the rules were because they had to sign off on the PGA Tour restrictions, but now we should feel sorry for them because they didn’t follow the rules…it’s like if I do something that is not authorized by my employer and then get fired…I should feel sorry for myself…no because I knew what the rules were and I broke those rules…come on man…that the problem with society now..no one wants to claim responsibility for their actions…

  5. What a joke, zero impact on the game. Betting is going on every week by players and caddies constantly on the tour. Tour executives are betting every day with poor decision making in the best interest of the game, we all know how that’s working out. Also the PGA tour needs to stop hiding behind the 501-c-6 tax rule and start paying up since it now involves the Saudi’s and stop worrying about a few bets that are less than 150 dollars.

  6. How can the PGA look the other way on the Tuesday practice rounds? I imagine a hell of a lot more money changes hands on Tuesday than these guys wagered. They knew the rules and have to face the music but the tour just doesn’t seem consistent.

  7. What’s so hard to understand,It’s a clear rule in the Tours Integrity Manual which non of you know about but the players do,then as soon as it’s implemented you all start crying BS,Pete Rose lost everything for betting on baseball so WTF’s the problem…🤦‍♀️

  8. PGA has bigger fish to fry than this BS. Everything is up in the air w WRP LIV Majors and no good news coming out lately. Diversion? 116 bucks c mon!

  9. Betting on sporting event in which you might affect is reasonable! And rules are rules! Not harsh at all!

  10. Intriguing how the PGA get the info about the betting activities of 2 minor players. Sounds like they could even be using online spyware maybe. Suppose there's always the possibility that Brooks & Bryson could 'fix' the match to favour betting on it, but hardly likely – way too risky for their futures.

  11. They knew the rules but they broke them anyway. That being said these bets weren't on any events they were in so although they broke the rules I don't see the harm in a $116.20 wager, the return if he had won weren't going to be life changing. If everyone was going to adhere to these Draconian rules of the PGA tour they just get the family to place the bets.

  12. The other sports you mention did the right thing, because they(the players) were playing in those teams that they were betting on, this case iharsh and says to me they (PGA ) are living in an ivory tower, would never pass the pub test.

  13. Does seem a bit harsh… BUT… golf is a sport based on rules and honesty, so, there's no place for those ignoring the rules.

  14. It’s really not that hard, simply don’t bet on your sport period. The amount that most of these guys are betting is costing them 100x or more in potential earnings because of a lack of self control. And now that sports books are officially partnering with every major sports league it gets watched even closer. These suspensions are more about protecting the integrity of the league than actually punishing someone for truly doing something wrong

  15. Gambling on golf damages the game, it makes the gaming companies rich and attracts a degenerate element that wasn’t there before. The game itself gets no benefit only risk. Why allow it?

  16. Not harsh – it’s about the integrity of the sport and the circles of information/influence overlap (sponsors, coaches, equipment suppliers, caddies, etc.).
There are heaps of opportunities for sports people to gamble – just stay away from your own sport. Complete separation better than shades of grey – what’s more important to you as a player; the integrity of your sport or placing a bet?

  17. Is the PGA Tour receiving money for advertising( From all the betting sites) during when The Tourni's are on???? A little dancing with the devil, don't you think????

  18. If they’re not participating in their “bets” then surely there’s no problem.

  19. So .. basically, if you want to make a living playing golf then no betting on golf of any kind. Go to town on a soccer, Football, Hockey, Basketball, etc., etc. BUT NO GOLF. Seems pretty straightforward. Is it fair? Pretty much every professional sport asks that it’s participants DO NOT bet on the sport they are making a living at. NHL hockey player Shane Pinto was just suspended for 41 games last Thursday, making the 22-year-old American the first modern-day hockey player banned for sports gambling. That’s half a season and also wasn’t betting on game he was playing in.
$220 billion has been placed on betting since legalization in 2019.
This has changed sports and every Sport is worried about their “integrity” and not only battle’s cheating but even the appearance of cheating.
In other words, this kid on the Korn Ferry tour has a friend, who knows a caddy that told him Bryson has a sore back. Bet on Koepka.
That’s the purpose of keeping one it cut and dried. No placing bets on the Sport you make a living at.
And if you think that’s unfair … ask Pete Rose what’s unfair!

  20. PGA pushing guys to LIV
If they are not betting on their current match, there is no harm.
If players can’t bet, then do should it go for officials and management. The last 2 could actually manipulate the final results

  21. Pro sports should stop advertising gambling sites nonstop during breaks. It's just another addiction for a lot of people that can't afford it. Couldn’t give a *"#% about these clowns.

  22. I read these comments and realized how naive people are. PGA golfers bet CONSTANTLY during tournaments and they always have. Every side bet would be a suspension and you'd have very few players in the tournaments.

  23. The problem with betting, especially among sports players is the “rotten apple theory” where eventually, one of the guys calls up his buddy playing in a tournament and says “cmon man, just throw a few putts and I can guarantee you 20-1 odds!”

  24. Looks like a PGA morality play… we could call it the,

“Phil Mickelson went to LIV‘ And we are morally superior” penalty.

If you don’t have morally superior, we are, just watch what we do
