My next trip is being planned. I was asked up my club how much is golf in Thailand and what are the courses like. Well, here are some answers. Purple Planet www.purple-planet.com
A lot of clubs do sports days and it is a lot cheaper you can get good deals in Phuket. Blue canyon is cheap at the moment 1800bat for lakes 2000bat for canyon that is with a buggy and caddie plus caddie tip. Red Mountain do a cheap day with one of the bars on Nanai Road Patong The Rock Bar Frank is the owner. Having a look round and find the some locals that play golf is a good shout for newbies. That is for any part of Thailand you can soon find golfers and good deals. This year I played one course just off the island of Phuket for a 1000bat with buggy plus caddie tip 500bat is usually the going rate for a tip. That was the Navy course and also played Aquella for 1800bat on sports day. The Blue Canyon rate is an everyday rate at the moment
And finally, WOW!!! Some of those courses look stunning!!! Yes, I see why they cost so much, and you're going to have a great holiday! Let's hope the flight costs drop by the summer! Only very jealous!!!
In the meantime, 37 points with my 85+ year old partner, 18th out of 24, worked hard, +1 net, and 34 points off my own ball, so OK, hopefully tomorrow i won't be +5 after 4!!!!
Hello Simon. I wish I could afford to take the Thailand golf trip this year. I'm so looking forward to seeing you play those beautiful courses. Thailand golf is probably the best golf for the money by far. Maybe next year I'll be in a position to join you. I'm glad to hear that you worked out some kinks in your swing.
Best place for golf in summer is Aberdeenshire so many opens on weekdays and weekends on great links and parkland courses unlike golf in England which has become more and more expensive 🏌️♂️
It sounds quite an adventure. Reading the comments you've done this a few times and know how it will work best for you. Look forward to seeing some video of it when you go. Interesting and honest video, well done!!
The best value courses to play are the ones inside army bases, and in North East Thailand. They are cheaper and they literally have an army of green staff so are well kept. About £20 a round, including a caddie and a golf cart.

How could golf cost so much in a country where you can rent a beautiful apartment for $300 a month?
