"Finish Turd" – Roy Keane on Manchester United
Because, back in the 90s, man utd could build buy any players they want
Now they can't
Welcome to the real world
All too complicated. It does not take much to want to win a match of football. If the players are as good as all are making us believe they are, then winning should come naturally in most matches. The truth is the players are not good enough. They are especially not good enough on the ball in tight situations, hence they always avoid these and choose the easy pass. And they are not good enough off the ball because they do not work hard enough. It simply comes down to lack of quality in the squad and the lack of fighting spirit.
Neville contradicting himself as usual, says they should spend more on transfers, then when it’s pointed out that only Chelsea have spent more he says “yeah they should, United turn over 500m+”
No blame on Ten Hag who has bought duds like Antony for £80m
ManU have good players but Erik Ten Hag is not up to big club like ManU.
Sir Alex Ferguson spent practically nothing in his final season and the Glazers refuse ro invest even time into making the standards high, the only thing that's grown at Man Utd is egos and fragility and I say this as a Man Utd fan. The team is ill equipped to handle City, Liverpool, Spurs and Newcastle
The club has come back from a disaster that killed their great young team, being the first team to go to 10 men in an FA cup final and winning it, going down a division and coming back, being the first club to win the premiership and then winning it 13 times including doubles and a treble and champions league cups, we WILL be back, just not yet
Honestly? Kinda ignore, pundits just swing one their opinions on how the manager's doing one way to another depending on how their dump went in the morning…
It ain't thaaaat bad, just as when EtH looked like he could do no wrong at times last year it wasn't thaaaat amazing either.
It's a game of fine margins and close performances and decisions can result in wildly differing scorelines.
However confidence us the one thing money can't buy and psychological fortitude has yet to develop for this team.
The standards haven’t ‘dropped’ united have had the same issue for years, buying players with quality but not players willing to do the hard yards, bruno would rather roll around than put in a tackle, rashford loves running when there’s a chance of scoring but won’t track back like he’s afraid he’ll get injured, no discipline at the back, quality will always help you win games but without the hard work and discipline off the ball, the same inconsistencies will always show, de gea won them so many points last season which flattered them in the table, united will always pick up wins against teams in the bottom half due to the quality hiding the problems but against teams in the top half the problems will always show just like they did last season 7-0, 6-3, 4-0… as a Bournemouth fan I can say that teams around us will look at a game against united thinking we’ll get chances to win this game which we don’t think against the likes of city, liverpool, arsenal, players need a complete overhaul but why would players want to leave on their salaries and who would want to pay the wages united pay for a player that won’t work hard each week… club is a long way off being where they want to be
Blah blah blah! Watch Ted Lasso- the character of Roy Kent summed up "pundits"and "punditry" to perfection. They'll all be off to Saudi soon enough anyway- then we might get our football back.
Maguire still getting a 1st team call up is part an parcel of why Utd will never be taken seriously even by the 4th year standard.
Has Utd got a spine t the 1st team?
Who do they build their team around?
Salah,Ex-Kane, Haaland etc some examples.
Who r their reliable defenders like Kdb, Saliba, etc, have they even got any defenders (Maguire don't count)?
Buying all the players in the World won't make any difference until they get themselves some proper defenders….
When Ronaldo claimed that the same staff was there from his 1st time at club ,u know that Utd was stale.
The whole top hierarchy needs shifting; they can't blame it on Woodwood anymore.
Jose would have won them the league by now .
As a CR7 fan,it’s so fun to watch the decline of this club 😂
Damn! I feel sad for them 💔 No Rolando to blame now 💔💔💔
Hilarious how the great man united are now having to deal with the real world
Glazers own Gary Neville🤣🤣🤣
we just signed johnny f evans 😅 after months of Ki min Jae tell a top 4 team that wants him as a CB. this is our standard NOW
It's not the standards that have dropped it's the quality of players and manager that has dropped
Joke of a club 💙
Ronaldo the problem
The sooner he realises Man Utd aren't the same team as the 90s and Fergie days, the less chance he's gonna burst a blood vessel. They're just not that good, simple.
Turd or fourth
Man United boys are simply maaaad they've been badly beaten 😪😪🤣
Does Gary Neville get old at all?
This is what happens wene the owners are not fans of the sport they purchase.
Well the answer is Glazers have not given enough money for UTD to buy titles like in the past. Now they have to compete with chelsea and liverpool and arsnel out spending them heavily. Also Ten Hag is not a good manager highly over rated
100% agree with gary
Mikel saying there’s some good lads in the changing room there, so where are these so called good lads who’ve taken the club to where they are today and have been there for season after season after season, i can carry on if you like.. Lol, with nothing but that boring garbage football they play. So just let’s say Mikel is right that’s means the manager must be useless then, come which one is it or is both manger and the players useless, yes I think that’s probably the reason. Then Mr I know everything Neville pipes up, well the manager needs time ..Lol. How much time Gary, 4 years, 6 years maybe 10 years.. Lol. None of them know what they’re really taking about except for Roy that is who normally doesn’t do the garbage talk ..Lol
Man Utd only have a problem with FFP because they destroy perfectly good footballers so they buy players for €100 million and reduce them to a €20 million standard max
Is not Ronaldo was saying man united problems comes from the owns too
The difference between arsenal and Man Utd is the owners. The owners at arsenal have given them money to spend and time for the manager to arrange his team. Everything ten hag isn’t getting. Man Utd managers get 2 years then the boot. Eventually Man Utd will become a poison chalice because of the glazers
They been saying the same thing for the past 4 years 😂. Shouldn’t have dropped Mourinho for Pogba.
lol … they asking why !
FFP but still out spent 98% of teams
I follow Australian football and support a team called Essendon. Successful in the 90s and early 2000s and have been an entitled mess ever since. Although Man United had some success through the mid and late 2000s – they have a similar vibe. Entitled mess. And the former players don't help by constantly saying "that's not Man United" when they don't make the top 2 or only win the FA Cup or Europa League. There has to be some recognition that the glory days are over by the people sitting in high places and then a relentless drive to work hard in every department. Expecting it to happen because you're Man United won't work. Unfortunately it appears until those American muppets have been removed it will be the same old for years to come.
The only explanation that I can come up with is that the team is trying to adapt to a new system. Currently, Utd are only 30% of the way there, injuries have exacerbated the situation. It is similar to how during Klopp's first season we used to give up leads easily.
So much to say, don't know where to start. Bottom line is that the Glazers know nothing about football, about our game, and, as Gary Neville said, they are treating it as a toy. They want to keep screwing us over, keeping us in debt, and getting us nowhere.
Gary's completely right you know, he's never going to stop talking about it
This United team would be fine in any other era, but this City team is something we’ve never seen before in the Premier League
Manchester United transfer business since Fergie departed has been nothing short of appalling. I’m not a United fan but I would be angry about how the owners are running such a massive club poorly. Unfortunately, Man City are the bench mark in terms of running a club and they’ve got a lot more right than wrong in their transfer business hence why they’ve been so successful over the last decade. The decision to sign Antony and Maguire for 80 million each is the up there with the most ludicrous decisions I’ve ever seen.
WE HAVE HAD SO MANY REBUILDS, SO MANY MANAGERS, SO MANY PLAYERS. BUT NO
SPENDING IN FACILITIES,
NO INFRASTRUCTURE
AND MONEY OVER PERIOD OF TIME TO SIGN LESS THAN REQUIRED… IF THEY SPENT 500M ( HALF OF WHAT THEY HAVE SPENT)
UNDER MOYES OR LVG OR JOSE OR OLE OR TEN HAAG. WE WOULD BE COMPETING WITH CITY…..
Imagine the staff wondering if they'll have a job in 6 months…haha boohoo for trostskyites like neville. what a cop out. the average british citizen endures this kind of job insecurity day-day but they still get on with it.
Sorry Gary. You are making excuses for footballers who arent do their job, today, last week, month, ten years!.
It’s because their training grounds 25 years old their stands are crumbling and leaking it’s run down the glazers have just ruined it
they always somehow put the blame just 2 players. One is their best player and 2nd is maguire.
First ronaldo saying he can’t press, after he left then ddg saying he isn’t good at feet
Now they are trying to put blame on casemiro saying he lost his speed and energy in the midfield
Standards dropped dramatically after the Manchester Derby.
