In golf there a score on a hole called a Snowman. It’s called a Snowman because when you write the number on your scorecard it kinda looks like a snowman. It is in fact, a score of 8. In 2022 at The American Express Championship Danny Lee managed to build a spectacular snowman. On the par 3 17th hole Dannys tee shot hits the rocks not once but twice to end up 64 yards away from the green. He then mishits his second shot into the water. He takes a drop hitting his 4th shot which sails over the green coming to rest within some more rocks. As it was unplayable he takes another drop which is now his sixth shot. Remember, this is a par 3. Thankfully this shot lands on the green. He makes a valiant effort to hole the putt for a 7. But he misses and sinks the next putt for a well earned eight.
This video isn’t to show that Danny Lee is bad at golf. He’s an awesome golfer who recently won US$4 million for winning on the LIV Tour. This video is to highlight that no matter how good you get a golf, there’s a snowman around the corner, just waiting to be built.
