There is no accountability, ie consequences, for messing up. Other coaches Bench players for messing up to give them a chance to get their mind right… Saleh just wants to be everyones friend.
What Gio said about Rob is what I was saying about him for two years now. He talks all this shit about teams he beat but is dead silent when they get their ass kicked. This man is not a good Head Coach.
I was told something by an NFL employee about a month ago.
This is what she said. She said that in around the time that the Jets still had Sam Darnold on the roster and the draft was upcoming where they eventually had the number 2 pick. Well supposedly Woody the owner was in favor of keeping Sam and using the # 2 pick on another NON Quarterback pick or trade back and build the team with more picks. Well, Douglas apparently was pushing the narrative to trade Sam and draft a new QB which was Zach and Woody wasnt sold on it. Eventually Douglas won out and talked Woody into the trade Sam and draft Zach plan.
Now fast forward a few years and Woody isn't happy about it and supposedly he told Douglas and whoever else something along the lines like. " I didnt want this , this was your idea , now that this kid sucks and you were glaringly wrong , You better make it work. Coach him up or else!!!
Who knows what's true or not, but I think it's close to spot on and now with them being afraid to bench Zach it makes total sense.
Listen , Zach was never good. In college he had a good season during the Covid Opt out year but prior to that the team hated him and the coaching staff brought in another scholarship QB to hopefully unseat him. This is such a mess and it's going to get worse. I watched him play Coastal Carolina in College and he looked exactly the same as he did on Monday night against the Chargers. He sucks and he was – at best a 4th round gimmick Quarterback, as Mel Kiper had him rated. Your guess is as good as mine as how they go forward. I think Saleh is being forced to shut his mouth be the good soldier and watching him give the same old monotone bullshit answers is revolting. Its such a shame , because if they had a mediocre Quarterback with their defense theyd be a 10 game win team. I dont think Zack is an NFL QB . Hes a barely a back up in the Areana League. Good luck folks. I know Woody is forcing their hand because he wanted to keep Darnold and is pissed.
Chargers are so bad yet lead the league in turnover diff and has a great point diff aswell. Banged up offense and still scored in the redzone when needed and Herbert made plays on 3rd down all game. No ints, Keep sleeping😴⚡️
Zack Wilson is a below average “Back Up” period. It’s what it is. This Defense is really really good and it’s nauseating to watch it go to waste. I’ve been rooting for the Jets for almost 50 years & This team is the reason I’ve been bald since 25 years old. 🤬😡🤬
i hate hoping for anyone to get injured…..but its the only way zach is coming out of the lineup.
