In this video, we discuss Nienaber’s swing and how you can apply some of the principles to your own game. By breaking the mould, Wilco Nienaber has shown us all what’s possible in hitting drives that carry over 340 yards!
We are all taught to release the club by rotating the trail arm over the lead arm but Wilco is rotating the arms in the opposite direction.

  1. Interesting stuff, Doc. Might have to put you through the pain of trying to teach me that =)

  2. South African golf instruction is a no-nonsense. Keep the club face stable and square. It was an eye-opener for me. I had classes in SA with an instructor who is a big proponent of this approach. It was a real game changer for me. Requires strong forearms and firm hands, though. I'm glad that you highlighted it. I like the way you explain swing mechanics. Kudos

  3. I don't think he is deliberately trying to have the face open…..maybe abit of holding off….but you are right….face extremely stable through n pass impact….no effort to try to square face with hands…..thanks for the video!!
