  1. Man they don’t know about that Northwest Indiana/ Southwest Michigan weather. Especially coming off Lake Michigan. I am a fan, but I like my toes and fingers😂😂😂😂😂

  2. I love you Shaun, but apparently you haven't seen The Upon Further Review show, on Irish Breakdown because most of the show is Bryan talking about how bad the offensive line played and how they have regressed as the season has progressed. Bryan D also mentioned, as much as it pained him to say it, that it was the first time he thought he was watching a Jeff Quinn offensive line. They are not moving their feet well and are catching. Zeke Correll got knocked on his butt several times. Bryan D also talked about the lack of urgency with the offense and with the wide receivers and how they continue to make the same mistakes that they did earlier in the season. Bryan also mentioned, his frustrations with Stuckey not developing the wide receivers and properly utilizing the wide receiver room and their talents. I have to give credit to Bryan Driskell, he called a very important factor before the beginning of the 2023 season. I am somewhat paraphrasing, but he mentioned, that he thought the Notre Dame Offensive line would start the season relatively well because of the firm foundation that Harry Hiestand set. However, he also said, time will tell throughout the season how good of an O line coach Joe Rudolph is, by how the O line either progresses or regresses and he mentioned that if the O line regresses as the season goes on, that it is a very bad sign. Well, the Notre Dame O line started the season well, but unfortunately, they have regressed as the season has gone on and that is a really telling sign. They further backed this up by reviewing the game film on the upon further review show on Irish Breakdown. They said, the Notre Dame offensive line got their butts kicked. Estimae was just a DUDE! The O line is not getting the same push as last year. They are not moving their feet as well and are catching. They are making way more fundamental errors and are not as physical or disciplined. The Notre Dame offensive line was supposed to be a strength. As good as they were last year with Hiestand, they were supposed to even take a step or two forward this year, with the guys they had coming back. I mean they were in the conversation before the season started as one of the best O line units in America! Unfortunately, just about every single player on the O line has regressed as the season has gone on, with the exception of maybe Joe Alt and even he has had some moments and regressed a little from last year.. Zeke Correll, the guards and especially Blake Fisher have really struggled and have regressed this year. That is a very telling sign and not a very good one! And I still don't understand why Pat Coogan is still starting over Billy Schrauth, or even others, but that is a different discussion for a different day. At Notre Dame, you are supposed to be an O line driven program. At Notre Dame, an average or even good O line isn't good enough, the standard here is a great to elite O line and at this point, we all have to start really questioning if Joe Rudolph is the right guy to take Notre Dame's O line into the future. So far, he has not got the job done from a coaching and development standpoint. Also, I am not too happy with the job Stuckey and Parker have done so far. Stuckey has done a very poor job at developing the wide receivers and the coaches are not properly utilizing the talent to their strengths. The offense lacks creativity and explosiveness. It is very predictable at times and conservative. Also, they are not getting the most out of the talent and using them to their strengths enough! However, I want to see them all succeed! I am first and foremost, a Notre Dame fan and I hope to God, that Freeman, the coaching staff and the players can get this fixed and set things right! No matter how you look at it, this season is disappointing and a failure, but we can still end on a winning note and build for next year! There is a lot to be addressed and fixed! There will be some difficult decisions Freeman has to make moving forward and into next season. This was a big concern of mine the further we get from both Balis and Hiestand. The further we get from Balis and Hiestand, the physicality, toughness, discipline, mental toughness and fundamentals are deteriorating and lacking. The offensive line is lacking the fundamentals, toughness and physicality that it had last year with Harry Hiestand! Unfortunately, they are regressing and making more mistakes and fundamental errors as the season goes on and that is a very bad sign. The receivers are being poorly developed and they are poorly utilizing the talent to their strengths! The coaching, players and execution has to get better! It is very frustrating! This season was a failure! Freeman has some serious soul searching and tough decisions to make. This team is way too talented to be a 7-3 team. That is not the standard at Notre Dame! Freeman inherited a double digit win team for 5 straight seasons and 6 out of the last 7, including 2 and almost 3 playoff appearances, within those 5 straight double digit win seasons. Freeman inherited a playoff contender ready quality team, with at least 10 wins or more, for 5 straight seasons. I like Freeman, but to be honest, he has so far lowered the standard of winning based on the results on the football field, so far to date. Can he change this? Absolutely and I hope to God he does, but he has to start doing some serious soul searching and changes. This team is way too talented to be playing this poorly. Freeman is going to have to make some difficult decisions moving forward and going into next year. Go Irish! God Bless!!

  3. Mr. Davis well done this episode appreciate you doing what you do and telling it as it is. And the team will have more talent but a lot less experience in certain spots but that is why you play the game . Well done sir.

  4. Shaun, check the weather in Chi Town and the Bend in mid-December this year. Then check the academic calendar right now. Notre Dame is dead at that time of year. Dumb, dumb, dumb idea. Ehen will Chicago's indoor stadium be build. Sounds like Notre Dame's future college football championship home field.

  5. The offensive line convo and ND fans remind me of Jimmy Clausen when he was drafted by the Carolina Panthers.

ND fans were complaining about Carolina OL and was saying it's the reason for JC struggles.

Carolina drafted Cam Newton the following year, and all of a sudden, no one was complaining about OL issues.

Sam Hartman is similar to Jimmy Clausen. Slow footwork and no creativity off the platform.

It's time ND focuses on an athletic QB… and stops rolling out slow foot dudes that can only succeed if everything goes well 100%.

  6. Do you really think guys going to the NFL are playing in any bowl game. Every one froe Hart to Daniels will not play.

  7. Clemson was the worst oline performances….still not sure if that was the reason but definitely top 3

  8. Always entertaining and straightforward.. everyone listening needs to hit those likes.. should be thousands up there not 77..takes no time to show love

  9. Your reference to the 49er game is a contradiction to your point about players scoring points. Some of the greatest most interesting games of all time were played in those conditions. I’m a football player and coach and we love playing in those games. We call it a “beautiful day for football”. But I guess with only having one football practice under your belt it’s harder to understand that, baseball player lol. Jk.

  10. Game stays at Notre Dame. I rout for Notre Dame because of the tradition and love that stadium . I respectfully disagree but enjoyed the discussion!
