I have the inesis 500, 5-PW, they are superb. Would highly recommend. The only issue I have now is my game has progressed and therefore I have upgraded to a shifter shaft but these clubs are really good. Peter finch also does a good review on these clubs. Great review as well – need to get the shoes now as well 😂👍
Just shows you how the "name" brands are ripping the average golfer off.
Is there the opportunity to try them instore?
Decathlon is very big in France, I have a couple of their tents and they are superb
You cannot get these clubs at shops or on line
Aware of decathlon . . . shoes, my wise neighbour once told me – spend as much as you can on your bed, and shoes . . . you’re either lying on one, or standing in the other 😊
How would these compare to other good quality, lower cost brands like Benross. Maybe you could do a review of the 300 to 450 pound iron set market as this is a price that the starter or social golfer looking for usable relatively forgiving clubs would be looking at and considering new vs 2nd hand premium brands.
Great budget brand to allow all to play
unfortunately, nothing for a southpaw.
Great review mate, but how do you think these compare to PXG 0211 DC irons which are now £65 a club with fitting options?
Great video. These clubs came out 2 years ago. What was your swing speed and which shaft did you prefer?
I got these irons with the same shafts, had mid size grips put on them, also got the wedges 50/55/60 absolutely love them and so does everyone I let have a go on them.
7:04 that is kinda true, the online stock information isnt always accurate. Last time i checked i was looking to buy the medium speed steel shaft iron set but the website said it was out of stock so i decided to go the store and check. Low and behold they actually have them in stock, so i suggest go into the store cos its not always accurate
Canada just got a decathlon store and inesis is overpriced garbage. $900 for a six piece set. Cheap grips, weak shafts and who knows what their forging process actually is. Do yourself a favor and buy a year or two old premium club brand. I was in the golf industry for many years. Until you can actually hold them in your hand and feel how cheap they are I wouldn't order these sight unseen.
Inesis make great golf balls, and their waterproof carry-bag is magnificent. But I ordered a set of these Inesis500 irons about 15 months ago and they were the worst clubs I'd ever struck. They felt like plastic spoons to me, and went nowhere.
I had my own 18 year olf Cobra3100 irons with me too at the range, and they felt fine. But these? As I say, plastic spoons hitting rocks.
In fairness to Decathlon, I took them back to the store having hit 200 range balls with them (100 each on two separate nights a week apart), and they took them back, no quibbles, and immediately reimbursed the full amount to my card. Hat doffed to them on that front. And as I say, their waterproof bag and the Inesis500 golf balls are highly recommended.
I have the 7-PW, and for me they are chrome (tick), great shafts (tick), not the beginner set (tick), heads are not huge (tick), I just fell in love with them in the store in Canada, then found 4 irons online in the UK. Doesn't bother me at all that they are not Taylor Made or Callaway. They play well.
Love Decathlon. You sum it up when you say that it offers great prices without sacrifice on quality.
I've bought tons of stuff there. Ski gear, a bike, jackets, sport clothes… the lot. Love it. The prices there are amazing.
As a beginner to golf, I'm also tempted by these irons. I currently have a set of graphite irons inherited from a mate, but I do want to I vest in my own, most likely steel shafts. I think these may be the ones. Decathlon has always delivered for me, so I trust their products.
Great review. Do you use premium balls or range balls for the testing numbers?
I'm playing the 900 balls and like them.
I have inesis 500 5-pw in three months, these are recommended (beginner)for me as Indonesian to against my friends who has branded clubs. but these days my game step up and need stiffer shaft . tks inesis
