At some point, the 9ers need to part ways with Elijah Mitchell. He is injury prone and is taking a spot for someone like Jordan Mason, who can make a better contribution.
The Chase Young trade is a definite A grade. To get a player of his caliber at a bargain basement price is excellent. I have said before, this scheme does not fit our personnel. To cover man to man as much as we do we need a sure shutdown corner on one side. Ward can handle the B receiver but we need to latch onto their #1 WR. Then the front 4 or 6 can do the work. We need to reach the QB in under 2 seconds. After that we lose cover on the back side. We are now giving Wilks all of the rope he needs to hang himself if our D doesn't improve drastically.
Look, go listen to Richard Sherman podcast. Richard Sherman knows the defense like the back of his hand. He can be our next defensive coordinator. Just go listen to It.
Wilks keeps playing man zone on 1st and 2nd down. We should be playing 2 man deep that will keep the pressure on the QB. Im not a DC and even i know that. Wide 9 seems a little too complex to wilks. We need to fire him and hire our own lineback coach. I heard hes familiar with demecos scheme
I know this isn’t my channel or anything but faithful!! This has to be asked what if still during this season the commanders let go of Rivera during the season would you want Rivera for the rest of the season or would you want saleh back in the fold for the 49ers if the jets cut ties with him ?
Only one trade? Seriously?!!! How about 4 defensive and 4 offensive players!!! Oh well, better luck next year. I guess.

Trade grade is A, the pass rush should hopefully apply more pressure on QB which would help out a secondary that is struggling and giving up passing yards . Hopefully more hurries , sacks and 3 and outs especially if we couldn’t add secondary help. Pass defense misses leadership which Jimmy Ward provided! Niners need to get healthy on other side of ball, especially because of their lack of production from the right side and lack of quality depth that was not addressed by previous drafts

We need a star corner. I would have traded kittle for Patrick surtain Jr. and Elijah Mitchell for a O-Lineman.
Kittle should’ve been blocking on those plays when purdy was getting bull rushed in absence of Trent Williams injury. Then he could’ve blocked and pushed off and been doing TE screens as an outlet dump for purdy but I think he’s scared to get blasted by linebackers! Oliver and lennoir are getting beat too easy because they aren’t top cb’s! Ward is now getting picked on because the opposing teams know he’s not expecting the pass play due to low level secondary talent. If we had surtain. We would be more dominant in the secondary.
4 D linemen- 2 linebackers 3 safeties 2 corners
Greenlaw and Warner can hold that line back but we need some more speed from the middle secondary. Wilks is a damn fool. I think he is still upset the panthers didn’t make him head coach.
I think Steve Wilks should go to the side line to make defense plays call just like the other defenses coaches .
