  1. Convicted of assaulting a police officer and sentenced to 6 months in jail, he certainly didn't have the integrity to face the consequences of that behavior. Hit black players with a whip. Head butted players. Choked players. Broke clipboards over players heads. But he won lot's of games.

  2. Love or hate him – Couldn't stand this MF !! They way he treated his players has he got older – should have retired early…

  3. Paraphrasing but coach Knight told a mother “I can’t guarantee your son will play but if he comes here and stays 4 years he will go to class and graduate”. I’d take that for my son.

  4. Great coach. I couldn't have played for him but he could coach. Brilliant mind but a little too much personality wise for me.

  5. I'll be the first to say that when it came to basketball, at least at the collegiate level, few knew more about the game than Bobby Knight did. It's just a shame he never brought a single second's worth or one ioda of class in doing it.

  6. He stands as a remarkable basketball coach and a mentor who has shaped countless young men. Nearly 95% of his students graduated under his tenure, and an astounding 99% of them have grown into exemplary and productive individuals. This enduring legacy is the essence of his remarkable career.
