Richard Childress Racing Vice President of Competition Andy Petree explained what he told Sheldon Creed following the race at Martinsville that saw both Creed and his teammate Austin Hill eliminated from the NASCAR Xfinity Series championship.

When the 21 banged the 2 going into turn 3 that narrowed up the 2s corner and made him go higher I would put that one on Hill.

Creeds car looked like it pushed hard so he had to slow up to get front tires to bite again.
It wasnt Creeds fault he was racing to win, John hunter hit Hill and that's not Creeds fault!, just because your teammates you still have to be independent at the end and race for the win!. They didnt have a problem when Hill took out Creed!. I'm glad Creed is going to another team where he will get treated fairly!.
Like it or not why weren't team orders sent to say let Creed win and Hill run 2nd? Both cars would have been in the championship.

They don’t like the level-headed Creed, and instead favor Hill, who will wreck 3/4 of the field to try and make someone look bad (instead of driving around his “parked in turn 4” teammate). Sounds like a supportive garage to want to join, or even root for on the track.

Sad that they jumped on him you know he has a team of guys who beleive in him that work their asses off every week and end just like every other teams he was up front running real strong had a great chance at winning and making the championship 4 also sad it was against a in shop teammate but thats just racing he deserves his chance also even if hes leaving hes still hungry for his 1st win also so thats RCR at fault if you don.t want competition them stop feilding 3 4 cars go with 1 sad they jumped Creed really wish him well at JGS maybe ol Harvick was Right about RCR after all ?

I think Andy Petree is full of shit! Him and Richard Childress should both be ashamed of themselves for the way they reacted to this incident.
Petree was mad because golden boy cry baby Hill didn't win, Sheldon raced like a racer should have given his position, RCR could have had more radio support and showed a little more team effort. The reaction from Petree, Hill and Richard was rediculous, Sheldon deserves an apology at least. If they take Sheldon out of Phoenix this Saturday it would be another low blow from RCR

Racing for the win and your gonna brake check for pettiness? And if the brake check were to be true, maybe treat your driver better to begin with. There were three hot heads after race and none of them were Sheldon. Go Creed 2024!
