Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.
I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

Love the videos Rick!! What glove do you currently use?
So theoreticaly if u put in a modern standard length shaft those numbers get to with <10 yds of each other and then you say there is almost no statitical difference IMO
Very good review, why not cut the paradym down to the same length and see what happens
Best pronunciation of the word chassis I’ve ever heard 😂
I don't often leave comments on videos but hearing all of you discuss your histories with cars has meant I couldn't not leave a comment. The fact that all of you had absent fathers to a degree is something I can fully relate to along with my love of cars. From your interactions with each other and your open honesty It is so easy to see how every one of you is a true gent and a decent human being that would make incredible father's. Big fan of all of you, keep up the incredible work, you guys are smashing it!
Hi Rick, I love these videos… but what would be really good would be if you could test every callaway driver that was released every year, from 90's until now, then compare performance from one year to the next, to see which years really made the difference to club performance! i'd be intrigued, especially when you compare the difference to club cost!
I’m still playing with a set of the Big Bertha woods as well as the 2002 Big Bertha irons. I got them used, they are a big step up from the King Cobra knock offs I was playing with before. In 31 years, I hope to be able to acquire a Paradym driver. I’ll remember this review for when I finally get to swing one of those. 🙂
If Rick could get the extra 4 mph to match the Paradym driver speed that would add about 12 yards of carry/total distance. Then we are talking about a 12-13 yard gap overall. Hmmmmm. Technology has come along way, but it seems like the golf ball is not coming a long way off the tee in comparison. Dispersion and ease of hitting is way better but distance….not a dramatic difference.
So why no videos on the HIT channel in a month???
I’d love to see one of these over not such a long time. I have a titliest 915d2 at the minute and would love to know what a difference 10 years makes.
I love my Paradym! Tried every driver of the year pretty much in my fitting. I'm a high handicapper but the standard Paradym suited me best. Looks beautiful too!
22 yards less with the Big Bertha, given that the shaft length is 2" shorter, doesn't sound like here is much actual difference to me. A bit embarrassing for the "huge improvements in tech" argument. I bet Rick would actually shoot 75 somewhere with the older driver as well LOL
The camera you have on the wall towards the screen is having some serious vibration as the ball hits the screen 🙂
Just goes to show how much marketing nonsense we consume and convert to fact. The difference is minuscule and simply that modern drivers allow golfers to swing faster and catch it “somewhere” on the face. The result, modern equipment dilutes the skill of the golfer throughout the game. Play golf how you want to play, the Professionals have no choice because they play for money and are paid to promote modern equipment. Don’t believe the hype, stay true to yourself and play what makes golf more fun
Clear your throat
Try shift the shafts and redo the test
The shorter shaft should help with accuracy a lot. There’s a reason tour avg is shorter than modern stock.
Ah, you youngsters…
Be awesome to see it again but with 1990"s balls
