Wait…did Mason……just call out the MEDIA HATE on Luai????
quick thought, instead of a run, would the boys be open to maybe a team sports day ? (bball, oz tag, volleyball) and sell merch or something and everything made that day go to a charity of the winning teams choice.
If they did the average rating system for Dally M. Brian To’o would be 4 time Dally M winner
Ask Mason about the 2004 liberty bell cup USA vs AUS. Were all the boys hung over? Why were you down 24-6 at half time and what was it like play rugby league on a American football field?
2009 Haynes puts turbo in his back pocket
Thurston not a immortal, immortal is a all-round player and all round JT wasn't like shit defensive aye
Ivan has to be up there as a top tier coach. What he's done with Penrith for sure, but he did it at the warriors, built them up all the way to a gf and if he'd stayed (stupidest decision the warriors made by not offering him a longer contract) they may have gone up another level and gone on their own run.
Hey boys, day 1 listener first time comment. Just wanna start by saying love the content and the different perspectives you both have to other anylists.
Just want to float a suggestion about NSW potential coach. I wonder if assigning someone like Gal as coach who has relevance to the current crop of blokes and maybe get an assistant in cordner who are both recent ex captains? Love to hear the thoughts.
Cheers boys
I'm glad you boys liked my suggestion about a ratings system. When you look at Edwards, who probably missed a few games only and averaged between 7-9 every week he would finish the season with something like 200 points where as Kaylan might have got 90 points during the 10 game streak they went on and only 60 points in the other games he played with 7-8 he didn't play meaning he would finish with 150 and most likely finish about 10-20th in the player of the year. Guys like Walsh if they have a blinder will always have more of an impact on a game but someone like Reynolds could steer the team perfectly, kick perfectly, make his tackles, feed his centre's, kick his goals and get a 9 without doing the special things but execute his role perfectly. Same with a Cam Mcinnes, he could make only 80 run meter's but with 60 tackles, no misses, huge effort areas and get a 9 just like Hynes who might get 1 try and 3 assists in the same game.
hey guys, do you think Flegler's HIA cat 3 was faked ? he went off around normal sub time, saved a sub and came back good as new and scores the try.
I absolutely love Horo's insight and how he delivers his opinions! Love Willy as well but it is hard to listen when he keeps cutting off Horo. Keep it up both of you, love it.
Hey legends!
Long time listener, love all the content that your putting out!
Just wanting to know is there any basic shape X’s & O’s play book out there? Keen to see more on unders and overs & plays that attack the 3&4man for example. Just wanna nerd out some more.
Or a little whiteboard session with you two on the topic. Where you have examples on a passage of play from a classic game, like 04 GF play or a Origin play.
Cheers for the in depth footy yarns!
Glad you guys addressed the SJ/KP YouTube comments. Was good to hear more of your opinion around it, as a fan I think that’s what I was wanting in that original episode. Agree with Willie regarding playing 80% of games
Carrigan bounced off Leota because he tried to do that pec hit tackle he did on Wighton on Origin debut. I don't know what to call that tackle but I've only seen him do it. It's like a pec slam.
He missed on Leota but I saw him connect later on JFH and Leota so 2/3 for the night
In regards to the dally m.
How does Ivan Cleary not been coach of the year after 202?
3 minor premiership s and 3 premiership sin a row. With the players and the coaching staff that has lost, is a remarkable achievement. Yet still isn’t coach of the year.
Really?
And Im a luckless Parramatta fan, but a league fan as well and you have to give credit where it is due.
If you coach a team to a premiership, then back it up to another grand final. Then IMHO there can only be one coach of the year.
But alas there are way to many agendas in the game today.
That body science banner, Willie Mason looks like a buffed up Jarryd Hayne.
Final try is over/under appreciated from every commentary I've seen. It was proper set up by the 2 plays beforehand. Hit the same blokes in defence that Nath ran past, fatigue on fatigue! Which panthers had been doing all year. The up n in defence from the edges a significant ploy to rattle panthers attack was very evident in the first 10 rounds this year, to counter that came the turn under mentality. Cant believe zero footy media identified this! Just shows they only care about the flash n flare to get views. The reason Panthers been so successful is they made a game of doing the 1% mundane important things right.
Willy so refreshing to hear your comments.
You say it the way it is no bullshit fear or agendas. I might not agree with everything but its so good to hear your truth and holding up the banner for free speech .
100% respect to that champion😊👍🙏
Willy put your hand up to coach nsw your a natural and you have the passion
Hahaha Willie giving it to Horos boys at the end there was funny as, keeping it real for sure. Penrith fan and Cleary shouldve for sure been taken out there on that last try
