Atlanta went to the playoffs once and got swept. Had a terrible ownership group that sued each other out of money, and any money made was put into the Hawks. Even with the arena problems, they outsold the Hawks in over half their seasons and had the 8th largest tv audience their final season. Nashville, Tampa, Dallas, Washington, Carolina, and Pittsburgh all had attendance problems until they started winning. Now they are attendance staples. Atlanta United won right off the bat and are now a top 10 attendance team for soccer in the world.
Atlanta never was given a chance with the Thrashers, and the league knows it was an extremely short sighted move to put them in Winnipeg.
Believe that was Jason Mcrimmon in the FED when it was the Danbury Whalers.
Get Dave Hutchison on the pod. Enforcer from the 70's & 80's heyday
Didn't Stu Barnes break Thornton's wrist his rookie year and knock him out a bunch of games?
maybe what is causing people to not go to watch hockey games, is that fake thing that happened in 2020.. the thing you never called out. but called people "anti-braxxerz" for questioning the bullshit… downtowns sucks these days. filled with tents and crime. why go there with your kids, pay premium on everything, water and a hotdog for 30 bucks, when you can watch the game from home? empty seats is not a problem, is the product.
Lets start a gofundme for this guy to get him some bigger glasses 🤲
This dude needs to make his own podcast asap. Great story teller and voice
Greatest duck segment lol 😂 can’t wait for todays episode
Such an entertaining episode fellas, Vukota is a gem…great stuff.
Agreed great interview!!
Nickel back is a top 3 Canadian band was the worst take I’ve ever heard lol
Rush – the guess who – the hip – April wine – to many to name.
Everytime they talk about Cole Eiserman I keep thinking they're saying "Yzerman." It's like if someone had a last name "Krawsbee"
Best. Interview. EVER!!!!
Love Bob Strum
Playing the re-casting game is always fun. The hill I will always die on is Ben Stiller, who directed The Cable Guy, should have played Matthew Broderick's role in that movie himself. Think of Ben's characters from Meet The Parents or Along Came Polly. Had the movie been Jim Carrey versus Ben Stiller, it would still be an all-time classic, more than it already is now (IMO).
who is odie
Anyone get Al Bundy vibes? Just waiting for Peggy to walk behind Mick
André Roy and Mick Vukota. They have to be the top 2 storytellers to ever come on this show.
