Most underrated player of all time.
Simon Jordan again changing his view just for the sake of disagreeing. He legit jumps from side to side on everything depending what the other person says – does he ever just agree?
As an American fan watching the Europe final I really thought it was going to end as a tie but then Jared Bowing scored in overtime we liderally jumped up and tore off our jerseys. I hope one day to visit west hampshire and maybe catch one of the games in the off season
Should we have more cups so more clubs and their fans get to enjoy more moments like this? I know it would dilute the meaning, but some clubs haven't won a trophy for 30 or more years or may never win a trophy because of the commercialisation of football, where money matters. What's the point then for those fans that they never get to enjoy moments like this?
Terminator Dicks, what a player, i remember when he came to us from Birmingham with a naughty & bit of a hardman rep but still very young, i was at upton park old Southbank when he played his first game & crunch he did somebody & we took to him straight away, always gave 100% & a superb player, love the bloke as all WEST HAM do, remember he had the bad injury & out for some time we didn't know if we would get the old dicksy back then a 50/50 tackle came up you could cut the atmosphere with a knife & sense the dread among the fans , no need to worry dicks went full in & didn't hold back, you could hear the fans saying he's back, with us you don't have to be the most gifted & best player, but we do demand you give 100% for our beloved Claret & Blue shirt π¬π§β
We beat everyone in europe at our level, job done. I would love to see Dicks kick jordan into the old chicken run.
it is great to see an ex player come out and put responsibility on the players for their poor performances, too often they hide and especially when they get clubs relegated
I think it depends for example weβve seen what a high calibre manager can do, Emery at Villa, Eddie Howe from Newcastle being destined for championship football under Steve Bruce to CL football with Eddie Howe with a lot of the same squad mind you. Newcastle had Schar, Willock, Joelinton, Murphy under SB and some of these guys before Eddie came in honestly were probably championship level players hence the reason they were down there at the bottom and with these same players skyrocketed to the top 4 same with Emery, he took over a side that were relegation threatened so many out of form players and revitalised so many of them like Watkins; Mings, Konsa Mcginn etc. so managers can absolutely have an impact. Players deserve responsibility but it would also be factually incorrect to say managers have no impact

Rubbish !! Football history is littered with great managers making great teams with average players , and teams full of great players failing due to bad management and tactics .
Many footballers are over rated… The majority of footballers have too much money, simply no motivation. You give a guy Β£5,000 Β£10,000 plus a week and in most cases they are simply happy with the money, no motivation… Give them a 3 year contract and pretty much set for life if they don't blow it. Footballers simply not as skillful or have the mental toughness of footballers 25 years ago… The game has deteriorated drastically in that time but the money thrown at the game will tell you different… I just don't see it.
Roy Evan's biggest mistake as Liverpool manager selling him back to WHam, had Evans got the best out of him Liverpool would have won the league 95/96 & 97/98, better defender than Mark Wright, Neil Ruddock, Bjornebye & Kvarme

I agree with Julian. The players have always had the power. If they don't like a manager, they play shite and get him sacked. How often is there a 'New manager bounce'? Nope, they are playing to show the new guy what they can do. Why don't they do it every game?? Obviously, not every player is being tarred with this brush, but I have always hated the fact players have power over the manager
I'm a Hammers fan. I live in Canvey Island I remember Julian Dicks left West Ham and played for Canvey Island.
