  1. Hi Matt I agree with everything you said but if you have a preferred lie I mark and clean and dry the ball and it pays off. Good video.

  2. I almost never take my eye off the ball no matter how bad, but the ball takes itself off of my eye on nearly every tee. I just cannot for the life of me follow all of my tee shots to their landing spot because the ball effectively disappears, so I'm left with an educated guess on the ball's location. Any tips on fixing that?

  3. In the summer time my wife and I usually tee off around 6 am or thereabouts. Bag check, equipment check are done the night before, as well as making breakfast for the morning and lunch / water bottles etc for during the round.

  4. Never lick a golf ball – a friend caught meningitis from doing this and lost both his legs! Also, just think what they spray on to golf courses …

  5. Even when I know the tee box is aiming me wrong, and I do my best to aim properly, part of my brain is always whispering 'you re aiming wrong' at me.

  6. Tee alignment – I point my foot in the direction I want to hit my tee shot, then place my tee & use the line I've drawn on the ball for putting to point to the area I'm aiming for. Works well for me, even hit a fairway now and then!!

  7. Whether I have a pitch mark or not, I fix a few others. Try to leave the course better than you found it.

  8. Just watched this, and I actually tick every box on these tips. I play a lot on my own which I really enjoy, never cheat myself with out of bounds or using a leather wedge, as it’s just cheating myself.

  9. Tip 4,my lad is a shocker for doing this(think 4 was not watching where a bad shot goes)
Ok when I’m playing with him,as I look for him,but useless when he plays with his mates!! Keep telling to take a line on the ball, rarely listens 😮

  10. It took me a really long time to figure out how to angle myself when the tee box isn’t pointing to the right line. Not being square with the tee box messes with my brain 😂

  11. this should be named something like if you're a noob watch this. Basic things that you learn on your own if you've played a bit

  12. Thankfully I have never turned up to the Golf Club without my clubs, I know people who have though.!!
