    Great tips! Wouldn’t all these apply equally the same to fairway woods off the ground? I hit down on every club besides driver and putter. Maybe the newer super shallow fairway woods are different?, but I can’t hit those to save my life. Just look down and see no face to hit the ball with, like a pancake at the end of a stick…

    When I began playing golf 3 seasons ago, I had a starter set that included 3, 4, and 5 hybrids. I hated hitting them. I sold that set this year after getting an iron fitting. I was fitted into Srixon ZX4 MII and ZX5 MII irons. Then I added a new Srixon ZX 4 hybrid. I love all my clubs. And I love hitting my hybrid. Any time I need between 170-200 yards, I know my hybrid gets me there. Very confident hitting this club now. It has a great sound and feel too! My Srixon 5 wood is the same. Very confident off the ground with that club. Now if I could find someone willing to substitute for me on my chipping and pitching, I would (we would) be in the 70s-low 80s.
