At UFC 208, Dustin Poirier would face Jim Miller in a Lightweight bout that would give him an experience that he would never forget. Poirier says Miller’s kicks to the calf was something that he didn’t expect and was some of the most painful strikes he’d experience in his career. When fighting Conor McGregor for a second time four years later, he would use that same kick to help him win. And McGregor would later admit that it was a move that surprised him as well. #dustinpoirier #conormcgregor #shorts #ufc

  1. Checking is just as good as blocking. Better than an open hit, but not nearly as effective as avoidance.

  2. One thing I love to see is that UFC fighters when they lose they are respectful in their loss. These youtube boxers when they lose they throw a fucking fit and try for appeals that’s real fighters vs fake fighters.

  3. If Jim Miller can cause pain like that, I wonder what its like to get calf kicked by guys like Pereira or Blachowicz

  4. I’m not fighter, but I played soccer for many years, so I understand this pain. I’ve been involved in two collisions that resulted in a broken leg. Luckily, not mine 😂

  5. I really hate those calf kicks. I get that it’s a good way to inflict easy damage and get points in the round but it seems like a cheap way to win. I miss the days before everyone started doing it.
