It’s more than just next man up mentality in Detroit. The Lions have had a few injuries that have caused the “next man up” to play, however coach Dan Campbell really broke down the mentality here in Detroit in his pressers yesterday. With RB David Montgomery out, we saw this mentality with Craig Reynolds last week.

Trust is a huge word for the new Lions culture. We've had some collections of very talented individuals at points, specifically the 90s, also during Suh's contract year when we won 11 games. But Somehow Brad/Dan decided to go the longer route. A guy might be good but if he does not buy in 100%, you are free to play for one of the other 31 teams. Putting that in place first, then filling up with handpicked guys is, demonstrably, the right course. This team is different.

Ive had david injury and trust me it sucks..it takes a while to heal and breathing hurts.. hopefully hes like wolverine he heals quickly.. anyway injuries suck and Baltimore is tough (im a steelers fan so i know first hand) but the lions can get them if they dont leave the game on tuckers right foot….

Go look back at the end of 2021 first year of dan and goff goff went 3 and 1 down the stretch he was hurt the other 2 losses and he played well down the stretch. Last year he had 6 turnovers overall and we are seeing now we should have been able to overcome 1 turnover from goff with how he played overall in those games now we seem dominant but really we just have a defense that is legit. With hutch here and anzalone and tracy on defense with the young guys like kerby branch alim and jack this team is talented and all of our depth has started multiple games for this team we are truly tested everywhere and our talent is incredible

With Gibbs coming back, and the addition of Ibrahim, we are going to be just fine at RB until Monty makes his way back. I'm really excited to get Branch back!
I was listening to the Mlive podcast and they were saying the depth competition this year had better players competing for 3rd and 4th string positions were comparable to battles for starting positions in the past.

Our only DEFICIENCY that I see is our pass defense in yards givin up and that may be due to CJ Gardner Johnson and Emmanuel Moseley both being out along with Branch missing 2-3 games. We gave up a lot in the Seattle game and got lazy against the Panthers in the second half

All this with 4-7 major injuries per game
