Lexi Thompson is now part of the elite group of seven female golfers who have attempted qualifying for a men's PGA event (aka, The Magnificent Seven). In her own words making the cut would be at the top of her already illustrious career. Better than a US Open? We may never now for sure but judging by her natural enthusiastic acceptance of such a herculin task, for Lexi maybe it genuinely would exceed winning golf's most coveted tournament. When Alexis Noel Thompson makes the cut on Friday afternoon she will become only the second women in the game's history to do so, joining only the late great Babe Didrikson Zaharias some 80+ years ago.
