In this video I am taking everyone through every single shot I hit playing the front nine at Defence Raya Golf & Country Club. The aim of the video is to show everyone what a 9.0 handicap golfer scores. There are certain misconception regarding single digit handicap golfers which this video clears. Its a great representation of what golf looks like in Pakistan as well.

How often do you break 80 if ever? I was stuck on an 8 for a couple years then finally figured out how to put my and got to around a 5 cap.
Fun to watch. I felt a little like looking in the mirror.
When I used to play a lot, I was down under 4. Now, I play to about a 9 as well. Like you, it’s my approach shots that are where the strokes leak out and the difference between a birdie putt and a putt to save par.
Working with my 6 through wedges on the range was key in scoring well. When I stopped practicing, inconsistency crept in.
You consistently hit the fairway and putt well. Short game is good too. You also seem pretty calm. You’ve got all the tools. Best of luck!
Good job. That is exactly what one version of a 9 looks like. Not long. Good lag putting. Almost no chances at birdie. Always a straightforward bogey if par can't be made.
Loved the game. Loved the course. Keep the grind on!
yo ma man. how about keeping those shot reactions shots as breathers and then continue commentating. briliant put on the 8th hole yo!
Was this a good round for you? What is the course rating and slope? At 3500 yds for 9 holes (7000 for 18), most courses in the US would be rated north of 74.0 (unless they’re at a high elevation) so shooting +4 over 9 holes (+8 over 18) would roughly equate to a 6 handicap differential and most likely a lot lower when you factor in slope (I’m guessing the slope would be somewhere in the 130’s which would mean this is more like a 4-5 handicap differential)
my college mates have been inviting me to Lahore i dindt realize they had nice courses there!
That's the swing of a 3 hc or less. Mate. I'm a 9 hc. And that swing distance and Striking is way better than me.
100% fact.. however ive seen golfers off 3 or 4 hcp with swings that are not as solod as this.
Saving par from areas around the green, and not 3 putting is where its at. I totally agree. I was merely pointing out how smooth and solid his swing was. If he can sharpen up those areas off the green then the shots will drop..
Won’t be playing off 9 much longer. Striping it off the tee and a tidy short game. 👍🏻
Good golf mate. The bogey on the par 5 and the two short putt misses were what hurt you most. 😢 Translated to 18 holes, that was nevertheless under nine over, so not a bad "round" at all. 💪 Enjoy your golf mate! Cheers from South Africa.
All 9 handicap players look different. They each have their own strengths and weaknesses.
Off the tee you were money. This video just illustrates how important the short game is. chipping well gets more consistent one putts on your score. I am sure if you had your A game that day at least two of those bogies would have been pars. Just subscribed.
I am an 8 handicap and this looks like my typical round
Keep working on your short game, you'll be scratch in no time
Nice video! What did you use to record the round and get the shot tracer?
How much do you practice?
I am an 8.1. You look better than me.
Excellent video. The drone shots were simply amazing considering I have been playing at Raya for years. Great work Shan. Keep up the good work.
My friend there is so much potential there! Great swing. Congrats on a nice round, cheers!
I agree this player is about a 9 handicap. Many comments below are confusing “course” handicap with “index” handicap. My bet is that this players index handicap is probably around a 5.5-6, but because of this course difficulty (slope/rating) his course handicap is probably around 9. Said differently, if he was playing a sub 6000yard easy course his course handicap might be less 5. This index handicap is constant but the course handicap changes based on course.
