The Chinese are excellent at copy tooling absolutely anything! They make all the prototype and mass production parts at a fraction of the cost. I also read that Temo get the subsidize prices because of the added advertising on their apps.
Temu makes their money by selling all your info.
The thing is, if someone can produce a knock off grip for a couple of bucks, then so can Golf Pride. Just think how much money companies like Golf Pride are soaking from consumers.
Ask yourself where the "real" one is made. China. Temu buys over runs from the same factories. America first is made in China
Golf Pride grips are manufactured in Taiwan and Thailand anyways, so I don't have a problem buying copy ones for a fraction of the price, if the quality is right.
I don’t want to be the guy who reveals all the magicians tricks but most of everything we buy comes from OEM manufacturers and they just get branded with whatever before leaving the factory. Not in all cases but with a huge amount of stuff. It’s counterfeit until the brand name goes on but take that for what you will.
Interesting!
They sell you all details on
If they do what you want why pay stupid prices for the genuine stuff
Temu… Chinese. Enough said. Not giving them money. Period.
I heard a theory that diring lockdown this factories had a lot of merchandise in warehouses, and now they are selling if for cost or cheap. Also, this Golf items from TEMU or AliExpress just shows that the brands are selling us items for a HUGE overprice.
I bought a box of Piper Golf balls on Temu as a test since they're the only ball I game. They came in with what looked like a legit box, but the alignment marker on the balls had a different color scheme, and they got weird pock mark holes in them after a round. Why bother making fake golf balls from such a lesser known company? Or maybe these were prototypes that weren't meant to be sold? Who knows.
Most everything now a days is made in China so its easy for them to make good copies for less $$, and they are still making a profit!!!
I bought a Fujikura Ventus Blue 6S Velocore shaft for $50. While I'm sure it can't be legit, it seems to be an amazing shaft and actually replaced my Hzrdus Black in my driver.
I know someone in Australia that imports all brands of grips, he has been to the factory in China and all the top brands, cheap brands and everything in between knock offs etc are all made in the same factory.
If you want to hand over your credit card details to a Chinese Communist backed counterfeiting company…good luck!
kislux has the exact same bags as these, even cheaper.
Ive bought all sorys of golf gear over the years from wish ali express to temu, ive had no problems, putter grips iron grips and rangefinders amongst other things plus polo shirts which are good quality and cheap, why not.😅😊😊
Real one is made in China vs the fake one is made in China.
I did order a set of Golf Pride MCC +4 and I could not tell the difference. The only thing I did notice they weighted differently from the original. This brings me to a theory: maybe they failed the QC…? So Golf Pride produces in China, and maybe the company does not want to throw away the QC sort outs anymore…?
I got a golf buggy ordered from Temu but never arrived and they ignore my emails , very frustrating and scammy!!!!!
No, still can’t get in touch ,I am trying amazon but I not very good with this kind of thing it’s turning me off of buying online ,,,very sad stuff
smell the real one first, if the smell is different they are fake.
Inside the small end opening GOLF PRIDE is moulded into the rubber on a genuine grip .
I really love the bag kislux here, and it brought me good luck buying it back.
I also find it difficult to choose my fav bag kislux when it comes to luxury bags . Nice collection there
Maybe golf companies have been taking the piss
In Australia we pay approximately $38 to have 1 grip fitted
Your set will cost over $400 just for new grips
I think I’ll choose $100 for my set
I don’t think people understand why this is happening. These companies know this is happening, they can’t stop it. If you try and stop it, you won’t be able to do business in that country anymore.
Well done guys great video. More of the same 🙏 😊
I've accidentally purchased fake GP MCC+ grips and while they look great at first they have a nasty habit of ripping.
These imitations just show how much markup is being paid by us. Less middle men makes things much cheaper plus the manufacturers are paying for design and research which has to be paid for but when you can buy pretty much the same thing for 25% of the authentic then it's a tough deal to pass up, especially for something like grips that wear out anyways. I wouldn't buy fake golf clubs or life saving devices etc, but consumable items for sure I do.
I bought some of these, the biggest giveaway that they’re fake is they weigh 10-15grams more than real grips.
Just shows you how overpriced golf companies are. So I think it's hilarious that you get on your high horse and state you'd refuse to fit them…. makes you part of the problem. You are supporting over priced conglomerates.
I think what we are missing here is that some of these items are coming from the same manufacturers as the (name brand) companies. The specs are in china, the materials are from china and the labor is in china. A lot of what we pay for here in America is the Name on the item. That’s marketing genius.
Considering how we use the grips.. there is no fake or real. They are grips same size same structure same feel same use. If they are cheaper use them.
I did look on Temu a few weeks ago and saw the Scotty Cameron putter grip and thought to myself that there is no way it can be genuine, I couldn’t bring myself around to buy it because I always like to support my pro shop. Great video Gaz
