Gabby, I run a support page on Facebook for Nascar driver Hailie Deegan and that question comes up all the time because Hailie's YouTube channel is a huge success with 560,000 subscribers and her followers on each social media platform are well over 3 million on each platform. So many male haters have said that she's not dedicated to her racing career because she spends so much time on social media, but what they don't understand is a lot of the sponsors that Hailie has came from one of those social media platforms and those sponsors know that her followers are going to purchase products Hailie endorses. Hailie has brought a much younger crowd to Nascar and it shows with the stands being filled again with younger fans and the TV ratings are much higher. She just got a huge promotion to the Nascar Xfinity Series and signed a multi year contract with AM Racing. As your popularity grows and this channel grows your going to experience the same thing Hailie has gone through. It just seems like certain people have nothing better to do then leave rude and derogatory comments. When you're sharing your life on a public sharing platform you're leaving yourself wide open for some idiot to try and knock you off the mountain you are climbing. It's sad it's happening but you just have to prepare yourself for it.
People will always have their opinion. You will always have haters and your share of creepy people. Just do what you want and enjoy the ride.
You're doing a great balance between entertainment and Golf instruction. Rule number 1 is you're not going to make everyone happy. I like what you're doing.
You’ve only got to look at the likes of David Beckham, how successful has he been with all that he went through when at one stage most of the uk hated him now look at him he’s become a mega star. Emma Radicanu on a smaller scale.
You’ve got a great positive outlook and seem very confident and inspirational.
Also I would say personable personality. You’ve got far already the only way for you is the ⭐️ s go reach your dreams Gabby 😉
You’re asking the wrong question, how’d I get to 100k subscribers, why did 80% of them subscribe, what can I maximize about the interest in me, it’s gotta be a focused drive, nobody is gonna pay to pay attention to multiple parts of your life, just what you’re great at, we all manage multiple things, that’s boring, I’m watching you cause you do what I can’t
When you have a channel like this, you're going to get all kinds of advice; some good, some bad. Most people would not be able to take on all the things that you have . You seem to have boundless energy, passion and drive. Most of all though, you seem to have common sense and the support of a great family. I guess it doesn't hurt to listen to what we, your viewers, have to say, but I trust that what you decide will be the best path for you. I'm rooting for you, Gabby. Go get 'em.
Priorities is a plural because you are allowed to have more than one and most human beings do. Animals focus on food for survival but humans can have multiple.
School work and education should be a priority, golf is your favorite hobby and should be a priority, social media and streaming should be a priority because it's become part of your life and you are good at it. I think having a social life and spending time with family should be a priority.
Basically no one should be telling you how to do you. You are the best person to answer those questions. We enjoy your videos, we enjoy your content, we enjoy your golf, burgers, vlogs, miny vlogs, and shorts. I hate that people try to tear down others but remember, when you have people hating or challenging what you do, those are signs you are doing something right.
Enjoy being Gabby whichever version you love and that's the best plan I promise you, never be the Gabby people expect or want from you, always be you.
Quick question for the Nay Sayers: How would you have heard about Gabby if not for YouTube? You go, girl.
Does your frustration ever get the better of you on the course, and if so how do you regain/maintain your composure?
First comment is fact! Stop trying to be an „influencer“ and just play the game we love
You can definitely have multiple priorities Gabby, and you certainly have the mindset and drive to be able to handle them. The only thing that will slow you down is having a baby. Don't have a baby until you're in your thirties 😂. Keep up the great work 👍
Everyone gets invested in other peoples' content, and wants to get their own "hot take" out there in the comments for the world to see – just like I'm doing right now 😉. Just because Gabby films social media doesn't mean we see everything that she's doing – like working on her golf, her mental, school, other interests or whatever. We all have opinions on how to become great – but its easy from the cheap seats! Even if we've personally tried and succeeded to achieve something – or failed and learned – its still a different journey for every other person. So I think any opinion we have can only be superficial regardless of how much we think we know.
That said – here's mine: I think a balance is the right approach. TwoSet Violin (big Youtube channel) talked about how many of their compatriots, on track to being great musicians, dropped music entirely after school age. Those people ended up hating music because of the pressure of trying to achieve, and focussing only on that, and only stuck it out because of parents / society / whatever. That can't be a good outcome for those people personally – now they hate something that they were on-track to be great at? So if Gabby is self-motivated to do a few different things – and doing them pretty well by the looks of it – then good for her. And she already knows to try stuff, take on failures as a lesson, and go again. What a smart young lady!
Thanks for coming to my TED Talk 🙃
mulligan is phot bombing you.
In my opinion, a person should set priorities to meet their goals to better their life and future. Because, if it’s a priority a person will find a way to do it. If it’s not a priority, a person will find an excuse not to do it.
Impressive commentary.
I don't really understand the comment from that viewer seeing how he found you on you tube and obviously enjoyed you content so without it he wouldn't even know about you, and isn't that why he is on you tube to begin with? Your explanation of multiple priories was spot on. Too much of just one thing will burn you out.
You can definitely have multiple priorities, but there should be a pecking order for those priorities, and as you stated the pecking order can, should and will change depending on the day. As far as golf and you tube you can definitely do those at same time without compromising your golf. You're just bringing a camera along with you, so I don't see how that hinders your golf game. In ways I feel it can actually help you. You can use the footage to review your game your swing and strategies. The way you explain your approach to shots, or the hole probably helps you talk through a strategy. I think you can get plenty of benefits from your filming and putting it on you tube is just an added bonus. Just don't let it change you as a person or lose sight of your ultimate goals. You do you Gabby! Best of luck and looking forward to following your career into the LPGA. I would like to see you paired with my LPGA favorite (for now) Lexi Thompson.
I'm a 54 year old woman golfer from Finland and I just love you and your stuff, whatever it is. Keep doing what you love, you are so sweet 🥰🫷
I can tell you from having one child at a high end college that got there by pure academics, and a relative at a high end college that was good academically but however great at athletics, the one that got there thru athletic ability had to change to a less competitive major. What ever sport you play in college, they expect you to live in the gym, on the field , or at the course. And an elite college such as Stanford, and in a competitive major, you will be competing against a sample of some of the best students in the World. My child that had 1480 and 1490 on math SATs 1 and 2, stated he was only average in Freshman Calc 2, compared to those students coming from India and China. He felt he eventually got into the top 10 of students but had to work extremely hard to accomplish that. That is why a college athlete will take an extra year or longer to complete the same major and even go with a less competitive major because of the difficulty in maintaining both commitments. But there are options, you are a great athlete and very intelligent, you will figure it out. You may just need to make some adjustments on the way, don’t stress out over it.
Follow MJ, Rhianna and other brand builders. You’re building a brand and your brand and platform is not golf, it’s you. If you have a mission and purpose follow it. If Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg dropped out of Harvard, then you see what the value of college is to someone with talent like you.
I assume this channel is now about the journey to the LPGA? But your personal life… not so much interested outside of golf to be honest. But for a kid you age, there is likely interest. As you say, it's a jr. golf channel too. All the best tho!
You’re doing fine managing your life. Stay positive. You got this girl. ❤⛳️🏌🏻♂️
