  1. I feel like this book contains the closest thing to 'the secret of good golf' there is. The short game is being played for over half of the round, and it is the only way to score. A good long game is a fair weather friend, it won't always be with you when you need it. But a good short game is like a loyal dog – it'll never leave your side, no matter what the day brings.

  2. A lot of people talk about “staying in the moment”, but Dr. Rotella does as good a job as anyone I have ever heard with giving the “how” to accomplish that. Hearing him talk about confidence the short game allowing a player to avoid discouragement/frustration when they don’t execute on their shot is a great example…in my mid 40s now and wish I had learned these lessons decades ago but so grateful for the way it’s helped me elevate my game as I have begun a return to tournament golf
