  1. Owns his mistake in the first 10 seconds even though we won. Kirk is a phenomenal leader.

  2. Sorry, Kirk is 35 yr old vet and haven’t figure out that the only player that he should throw a 50/50 ball to is JJ. I can’t recall a single INT when he threw it to JJ. This season…50/50 balls resulted in 2 INTs each for KJ and TJ.

  3. Title: Lessons in Resilience

    Characters:
    – Kirk Cousins (Quarterback)
    – Reporter (offstage)

(Scene: Postgame press conference. Kirk Cousins sits at a table, looking disappointed but composed. The reporter stands nearby, ready to ask questions.)

Reporter: (Addressing Kirk) Here's to getting a win any way we can get it. It must have been very frustrating to throw that interception. Can you talk us through what happened on that play?

Kirk: (Sighs) Yeah, it was very disappointing play by me. I made a poor read on the throw and was late to the flat. The ball ended up inside, and they were able to take it back for a touchdown. It was a compounded mistake, and I take full responsibility for it.

Reporter: Despite the interception, your defense played phenomenally and kept you in the game. Can you share your thoughts on their performance?

Kirk: Absolutely. I have to give a lot of credit to our defense. They scored a touchdown and put pressure on the opposing quarterback. Harrison Smith was phenomenal in pressuring, and Bryce made some great plays when there was a free runner. Harrison made some crucial tackles to bring them down. Our defense gave us opportunities, and we need to capitalize on them.

Reporter: You mentioned that sustaining drives and staying on the field were areas that need improvement. What are your reflections on that?

Kirk: I didn't stay on the field enough, and that's on me. Starting fast was a point of emphasis, and I felt like we did start fast. We moved the football well on the opening drive, but then came the interception. We need to eliminate those mistakes and be better at sustaining drives. There's a lot to look back on and improve, and that's my focus moving forward.

Reporter: How does Coach Kevin address the team after difficult moments like this?

Kirk: Kevin's always been great with dealing with negative plays and mistakes. He emphasizes staying positive in the heat of the moment and understanding that mistakes happen. He was great in providing guidance and support. Crystal and Nick Mullens were also supportive. I know exactly what happened on those plays, and there was no mystery.

Reporter: On the second interception, it seemed like your arm got hit. Can you share your thoughts on that?

Kirk: Yeah, I was trying to throw to Jordan on the wheel route. I was looking at the corner, trying to see if he vacated. Unfortunately, my arm got hit, and the pass didn't go where I intended. It's hard to predict when and where you'll get hit, but that's no excuse. I need to be more aware and make better decisions.

Reporter: How do you deal with the disappointment and frustration after such plays?

Kirk: It's tough. I have the same level of disappointment and frustration with myself on both interceptions. I hate the outcome and the impact it had on the game. I need to learn from it, move forward, and be better in the future. That's the mindset I have to maintain.

Reporter: How big was that drive when you were up 14-13 and had a chance to extend the lead?

Kirk: That drive was crucial. It gave us an opportunity to create some separation and give our defense some breathing room. Our defense did a fantastic job, and we were able to capitalize on their efforts. Scoring on that drive was significant for momentum and confidence.

Reporter: Every play counts, and decisions have to be made in split seconds. How do you reflect on those moments?

Kirk: Every play, you go through your progressions and make decisions based on what you see. You can't be perfect every time, although you strive for it. Sometimes, you miss opportunities by being hesitant or not pulling the trigger. Other times, you make throws you shouldn't have. It's a constant learning process, and I hold myself to a high standard. That interception will bother me, but I have to keep playing and keep pushing forward.

Reporter: Do you feel motivated by frustration to bounce back from such moments?

Kirk: Absolutely. When you make a mistake, you realize the importance of not repeating it. That interception frustrated me, and I want to avoid making those errors. I have to set the right angle, make better decisions, and aim to come back stronger. It's about learning from the experience and using it as fuel to improve.

Reporter: Thank you for your insights and honest reflections, Kirk.

Kirk: You're welcome. There's a lot to learn from this game, and we'll keep working to be better.

(Scene fades as the press conference comes to an end.)

  5. I want the vikings to win, they lose. I finally want them to lose around the 2 minute mark in the 2nd quarter and they go ahead and win. 16 straight sloppy quarters. Can we please get a caleb williams one dang time

  6. Shut up Kirko Chains……You are way tOO hard on yourself… It's now NOT ABOUT THE MONEY, IT IS NOW ABOUT THE WINS!!!!!!!
BE OF LITTLE CHILDREN, IT IS THE ONLY WAY TO ENTER THE KINGDOM!! Love Ya!

  7. Hey Kirk, see what Cam was doing, you can do the same thing, pick up that confidence and run with it, your the leader here and your team is watching you, you be the man!

  8. Kirk is such an enimga. He can make the TIGHTEST of throws over and over that few QB's can. So Vikings fans…let's go 8-9 or maybe 9-8 this year, get the 12-14th pick and stretch to get the 5th best QB in the draft. (loading draft though…) I dunno…I respect Kirk a lot, but I'm DONE with him. Move him for a 3rd round pick and let's rebuild.

  9. Theres alot of disappointing plays by kirk but he will let the fans eat the oline alive before taking any blame for lack.of pocket awareness.

  10. Mannn play like you got some d**n sense you better than what you displaying this year there are no excuses for the turnovers clean it up bra plain n simple

  11. Kirk football is a team sport be happy the team won!! I hate this guy he’s upset he didn’t have great stats. That’s all he cares about

  12. We’ll need to put up at least 28 points to stay with KC this Sunday. Hopefully our defense can get some turnovers. SKOL4LIFE!!
