I have been writing about this for years. The Suits have been making mega bucks, serious bucks off both Cups. Ryder is worth somewhere north of $750 million dollars. Tv is worth 440 million. Citi just signed in for close to $300 million. Players who are the driving force make nothing. Nothing! Please don’t count the $200 thousand given to your own charity. Notice that there are no logos of any type in these Cups. Sources say that at least 3 players that could not wear a logo hat to get paid, chose not to wear a hat. If every top 12 player said we won’t play if we don’t get a set percent of profits then forget it. Would we still watch the tourney with the next 24? Does the Euro tour even have a next 12? Pres Cup started by the PGAT after seeing how much can be made. 90 million dollar tv contract which is up. Jay won’t settle for that small amount. Doc

As for Tiger's sim-golf, how can escape shots happen? Golf drama comes with shots from foul lies and that can't happen on a screen, boring, or am I missing something?

The Tiger theory sounds very plausible. I doubt LIV/PIF would have a problem with Brooks and Team Smash playing occasionally on Tiger's Tomorrow Sports league on a Monday night if that option was available. All of the LIV teams should play on it at some point to make things interesting, whether Tiger and his investors would ever be interested in that sort of cross platform operability remains to be seen but I would lean towards them not being into that idea just purely out of spite….at least at first. Perhaps post-merger this door might open up….

If the PGA besties go to LIV, golf will die. I play in a league of mid 50’s rich guys. NONE of them watch LIV. These are the guys buying $600 drivers every year. Not the LIV little boys living in mommies basement watching YT. Be careful watch you wish for. You’ll have 4 majors and LIV will fold. Nobody cares.
