In this video you get to be a fly on the wall of a golf lesson, completely unedited to give you the complete insight of how I apply my coaching to a brand new client, and youtube subscriber! Sam has only been playing 18 months and complained of bad striking, hitting the ball fat, and clocks to the right along with the odd slice.

I help change Sam’s golf for the better, step by step, and leave Sam with the understanding of why he was victim of inconsistent golf and slices to the right.

I hope you enjoy!!

  1. Hello Stuart. Thanks for this jaw-dropping lesson. The 20:25 stance comparison shows his old hands positions closer to his body than in the corrected position. Still, I don't think that you corrected his distance from the ball in any way. He did it by himself. I understand that he could have achieved the 90 deg relative to his spine with the former ball distance but the toe of the head would have been pointing a bit upwards. Would that have been acceptable or must the sole be absolutely flat on the ground. Is the upright toe a nono? I have seen in some places that this upright toe thing is not bad for certain golfers (???).

  2. So wish I had the ability to “pop in.” I think a lesson similar to this would go a long way to solidifying my progress. Still playing well though. Sent you an email of the old issues last Friday. Ought to make for a good laugh! Cheers my friend.

  3. This was really eye opening to me. I have been working on Shawn Clements swing methodology and the distance I gained is amazing, what I can't seem to find is consistency. You have created another conundrum for me of "do I switch again down another youtube rabbit hole" of golf swings. This made so much sense.

  4. Another video that gives excellent insight into your approach. Thanks for the excellent content. I'll have a video to you today or tomorrow :-).

  5. Recognise a lot of that lesson, just wish I had the free flowing swing that Sam has – not Stuart's fault, trying to rewrite 50 years of swinging the wrong way! I am getting there, just a lot more slowly than Sam

  6. Blimey Stuart you accomplished so much with this golfer in one lesson
    Well done 👍🏻
Keep instructing us the right way

  7. Wow! We just got a free lesson. This was some of your best content yet. Thank your student for allowing us to watch his journey. He will have a plus handicap in no time.

  8. So for the 4 parameters you like to use there is attack angle, path, face to path and what is the 4th?

  9. Great video, really captured all of your lessons and brought them together in a meaningful way. Would really like the same with driver as I just can’t get the release from your video to work and bringing the handle in is giving too low a ball flight.

  10. Could you tell me why your telling him to push down with his hands and yet on one of your other videos you say push your left arm out before you pull down?
    Cheers

  11. Thanks Stu ,,,,Straight out of the packet ,,oven ready ,,,as always ,,will be looking for some of the same ,,on the 10 th cheers Graham

  12. Thanks 🙏🏻 Amazing first hand insight to your teaching method Stuart and a great video. Am I right to assume you do face to face coaching or was this a one off? I know you could help me! 😂 thanks, Paul 🏌️‍♂️👍

  13. Marvellous video. This and your video about pulling the club has really clicked with me. Pull down as you push back with the lead leg. Seems so simple. It sure works — at least for irons. I'm seeing big distance gains with everything but the driver. Can't hit it out of my shadow. I don't understand how I'm to get the handle out in front of me and at the same time be releasing the driver early to get the ball on the upswing. Anyway thanks a lot for the help with the irons but now I'm hitting my 5-iron as far as my driver. 🙂

  14. This was great. Really helped show how some of the pieces fit together, especially early extension and some of the fixes our body forces us to do to recover from other compensations. I'm still working in my head on the balance and timing of the push and pull feels/motions. Side note: his new setup looked pretty bent over, though his back was much straighter. Is that a personal anatomy thing, or just a fix from where his setup had been?

  15. So this lesson has literally gave me a paradigm shift in my golf swing. I completely get it now. I need to thank you. I went to the range with a gc3 and the results with a 7 iron were staggering. Working out that the wrists unhinge whilst the the left leg pushes my body back ti create opposing forces at the bottom is literally money. Thank you so much. Wish I could send you the numbers, they're insane 🤯
